FA Cup 2nd Round Swindon Town 0-1 Woking Should've kept Brownie. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46332896
Now while i will always be endebted to Brownie for getting us over the line for the first time in our history and the start we had to our first Premier league season .. i also recall how things went to his head .. how all of a sudden he was appearing here and there on tv shows .. how all of a sudden his decisions couldnt be questioned .. how he spat his dummy out with Burns when asked about certain things .. how many pmayers ended up falling on the naughty step .. and his embarassing rant at the players that had given their all for him beforehand at the Citeh match .. he passed the book that day .. laid the blame on the players in front of the travelling fans and used them as a scapegoat. I also recall him wanting to go to the races when we needed to concentrate on matters in hand on the training field .. where the senior pros declined to go and remained to concentrate on training .. Brownie went anyway. Funny how certain memories only recall the good bits but choose to forget the bad.
You'll find the bad in any manager, or indeed anyone if you want to. Steve Bruce playing Alex Bruce in midfield, leaving Tom Cairney on the bench. Utterly bananas, baffling and inexcusable.
Plus ****ing off on holiday to Barbados when he should have focused on our next match against Swansea when we were deep in relegation trouble
From memory, one in the Chillo testimonial prog v the vermin from May 71 Chris Chilcott, Terry O Neill and Savile with cigar in pic with ball in City's gym.
