Pfft. My m140i does it 4.8 in mild temperatures.

The m2 is 4.3.

The m240i isn’t giving a 0-60 time.

They replaced the m235i with the 240i assume the same with the 1 series.

They’re a tad over budget. 1 series is defo too small as I think the 2 will be.

The 435i m sport is a tad slower again. But quick enough.

240 and 140 are the replacements of the 35s. Different engines and slightly quicker.

I got a cracking deal. £7k off when I purchased 2 years ago.

BMW have seriously altered their pathway since I worked for them, I had a 650i back in 2005, I feel though the Marquee element was going then in their cars. The new 3 series at the time was basically ****e, the 5 series was like a damp ****, the 1 series had just been launched just as Audi had sacked their 1 series off and the Mini had loads of teething problems. Nice top read you two having appreciation of their cars now, like I said 2005 was a long time ago. Saying that mind, I have a 2005 unbadged Merc 240 CLK with 70,000 on, all AMG too, wouldn't swap it for the world, it goes when I do haha..<ok>

Thanks for a great read lads..<ok>

Beamers are great motors. Rather a Beamer than a merc or Audi any day. I love my jag it’s just not a good fit with me. My old 2008 330d m sport was better to drive and more practical. The xf is a better car than a 5 series but just not for me.

Each to their own mate, don't get me wrong B's are great cars but Mercs for me all the time..<ok>

New Mercs are awful cars. Only the S Class seems to give any sort of value for money. The soul has completely gone. I know a guy in Manchester who restores classic Mercs and it’s like a dream when I go down there every time.

Back in the day BMW couldn’t touch Mercedes but I’d say right now apart from the S Class (Cos the 7 series is ****e) BMW have the better fleet.

The G Wagon is the most over hyped pile of crap ever produced.

My cars the best and it's a Merc..<ok>

B's have no style now, 2'a penny.. Again it is an age thing, I used to have a Ford Granada 2.8i Ghia back in 79, bag of ****e but loved at the time..

It’s personal choice innit, but the new Mercs from 14- on seem lifeless to me. I think BMW have earned some serious style points since 14 on as well.

My Mrs has a Merc like, she loves it. I think it’s no better than a Ford Focus.

Anyone who buys a G Wagon should be sectioned.

140 bags for a Land Rover rip off that has all the aesthetic appeal of Ian Dowie.

The new mercs have nice dash boards.

The whole Beamer line up is superior.
