We had years of the media and rival fans taunting us with 'Your holding Fabregas hostage' - 'Let him go to the club he wants' - 'He isn't focused' - 'He doesn't want to play for you'

    Better get used it.

Ridiculous headline. How can Tottenham possibly "fear" his exit when it is ENTIRELY their decision whether or not to sell him. He's on a long term contract and they've proved this summer that they are not intimidated by huge offers or the player himself agitating for a move. This is lazy journalism in it's purest form and, even more embarrassingly, it took two of you to write it.

Tom Collomosse and Simon Johnson, I can't believe it took two journos to work this out. How about you take a little time off this subject and bring it back up when it's relevant as I'm totally sick of hearing about it. People like you ruin football.

Massively intelligent article boys. Who would have suspected that boys. Be proud, you are superb journalists. Your research must be very thorough and well founded. Congratulations. You must both have been highly educated.

If anything proves you guys have an agenda beyond reporting news, this piece is it. Less than two days after the window shuts and you're back trying to pull Spurs squad apart.
Tell us the real news please.... who sets this agenda and who pays for it?

If the Blue half become interested we can put another £20m on top!

I'd have no problem with Levy selling him for £70m. <whistle>

  9. I find it all so hilarious! Lazy Journo hacks reverting to type and blindly repeating stories that have already been proven to be failures... who would have thought of that?

The fact remains that, if The Chavs are still interested in January, if Modric fails, or refuses, to settle; and, if we are not doing well by the end of the year, then the likelihood is, that he'll be sold in Jan.

I think even if we're doing well by Jan he'll still want out. The only thing that worries me, is Chelsea will bid for him that's inevitable and IF we decide to sell I just hope we buy a replacement before doing so. Chelsea will probably make a huge bid nearer to the end of the window if the not the last day (as like the previous one with the £40m offered) therefore precautions need to be made otherwise we'll be left in the sh*t just like the Berbatov saga.

The gist of the article was regurgitated on Metro's page over the weekend, so it didn't take long at all.

The Fail won't stop, they will remind everyone constantly all the way to Jan, I'm convinced their sports editor is a chav or a goon.

I don't mind if we sell him for as much as possible and get a striker or two in with the dosh. He'll certainly be off but I don't think he'll have too big an impact at Utd because they are a massive club with big names and he'd be overwhelmed. I'm holding fire on Chelsea because they have a tough time coming up with fixtures.

I've always been convinced that they're being paid, by somebody, to keep this up - I wonder who that might be?? <steam>
