I wish we could close games out Ben, but Scunthorpe showed our defence isn't up to it. With the quality we have up front we should really be trying to completely finish off teams if we go 2-0 up, which means keeping BWP and Hayes on, and preferably Wagstaff too.
i'm going for a 1-0 win as well, think Semedo deserves one last song but will probably be after the match when we've got the 3 points and in high spirits it won't be easy and you can bet Parky will be the studio guest for this and possibly Mark Bright.

I'm not sure it's the Defence, Scunthorpe's 2nd was a good goal, not brought on by the subs as Powell made that move 25 seconds before it went in, not enough time to change mentality and impact it. The first goal however was a mistake (rookie manager mistake). They always say never make a sub from a defensive set piece, and it was Morrison who came on and who was unable to sort out the mess properly losing his man and the challenge on the six yard area. Powell will have learnt from that already. I'm not convinced its the defence thats the problem, just as a team we're not quite good enough to dominate for 97 minutes, so we will always be open, we will always continue to be the scalp also, so when Walsall are 1-0 down at Hartlepool and there's 10 minutes left I bet their brains care more about getting that equaliser at The Valley (no disrespect) I'm not quite sure how else to cure this but through gradual building in confidence and unity towards putting games away before they can be considered in jeopardy, 2-0 is never a comfortable lead, we all know that, no matter how you play. Tonight will hopefully be a good step in the right direction.
Just look at our relegation season from the Championship. When under Parky, there were so many occasions when we were 2-0 up (Cardiff sticks out in my mind) and with a few minutes to go, we would let in one, then a second.
I think you've got your games mixed up there Ben, Morrison came on just before Reading's goal in the Carling Cup game and played the whole time v Scunthorpe. I think both Scunny's goals were preventable, the second arose partially from Solly's poor clearance straight to their winger, and Taylor failed to clear for the first.
Right you are, the first goal was defenders luck with the ricochets. Even so, I agree with the sentiments
While DVDDD is searching his magnificent picture bank, this'll have to do for the moment. I'm sure Haysey was talking about something like this - - these firefighters may not actually be from Sheffield, but quite frankly, who cares?
Well then, did anyone see any firemen? There were a couple of guys dressed as cows sitting behind the Charlton bench...
