Depends on what it was he did. Apart from that why not? Take it where you can get it and don't feel bad about it.

It was Clive Lewis. He was spectacularly useless.

Bloody hell it was if he didn’t have a clue. Fancy sending him in? The line that did make me laugh was “ one day he could be leader”! <yikes>

I thought JH-B wasn't bad. I also thought the EX CEO of John Lewis had a few good points.
For me, This Week was better with Michael Portillo ripping into May's deal.

If Julia Hartley Brewer has been making her points in the same sneering, smirking patronising way but in favour of the Remain camp you (and I) would have had her down as the essence of the arrogant elite. What she was saying didn’t wind me up, the way she said it did. On the other hand she did get Fallon sacked for touching her knee.

I don’t know why they have these ‘famous’ pundits in QT. They have found a niche having opinions for money. Who knows what they really think?

After my conversation with Theresa May, our positions remain far away. My Government will always defend the interests of Spain. If there are no changes, we will veto Brexit.

Good to see the rest of the EU and the UK can count on your support when it's asked of you. Now remind me? What was it that we could all help you with when the Catalans played up and what would you like us to do for you when they try it on again. And you want that when precisely? I must remember to decline that request unless our demands are met as a pre-condition just before the deadline. When the majority of Gibraltarians vote to secede from British rule in favour of living as Spaniards come back and make your demands again. Until then you know where you can stick your claims.

What an idiot. He can’t veto Brexit, he can only encourage a no deal Brexit, which will mean that he has absolutely no chance of negotiating with us over Gibraltar.

    Hollow threats.

    John Hayes Receives Unexpected Knighthood
please log in to view this image

Veteran right wing Brexiteer has unexpectedly been doled out a knighthood from Number 10. By miraculous coincidence, he didn’t send Graham Brady a letter, and he hasn’t said he’ll vote against May’s Brexit deal, he is said to have also lobbied colleagues not to write letters. Cynics will note that he collected his gong well before the next honours list came round. Hayes knows Theresa May might not be around then so got his payment upfront…
This out of the blue knighthood comes before Parliament’s ‘meaningful vote’ on the Withdrawal Agreement, perhaps pour encourager les autres. Is the 2010 Bribery Act yet another piece of Cameron’s legacy that May is determined to get rid of?

He can't veto the withdrawal agreement, but he can veto the free trade agreement later, which presumably would keep us locked in the Customs Union under the Chequers deal
