anyone know if Olde Black Boy is back open again?

I know they closed for a refurb last month, supposedly for a week, but when I ring it just disconnects

Planning to meet some out of towners there, so wanted to warn them in advance if it wasn’t open again yet

Did you round up fellow Tigers in the US and do a bit of campaigning when you were there? This appeared whilst you were over there.

It was due to re open last Saturday.
The Landlord was talking to my mate a week or so ago and told him all the pipes needed renewing as they haven't been done in over 10 years.
I went past on bike last Friday and there was a large pile of pipework outside the pub ready to takeaway.
That would explain some of the crap beer I've had to take back to the Bar in thete!

Closed today. I make it over a month that it has been closed when initially it closed for 'three days' Spoke to a former barman ( said he was the landlord) earlier this week and he's left completely and started up his own handyman round down the avenues. Doesn't sound good.

It was open when i went past at 6pm and me and a few lads where in last night !!
It's the third time my mate has been in since it re opened last Saturday.

It was closed at 12.45 today and has been for the last three home games. It is my first port of call on a match day. No explanation either.
 
It was open when me n the missus poked our heads in at tea time today.

Upstairs blocked off and fire not lit in front room. Went into back room, stank of paint and was brightly lit with no candles on tables. Shame. Early days tho?

We decided not to stay and as it was pissing down had a pint in Lion and Key instead before walking past 'Dirty Dicks' ffs :emoticon-0138-think

Probably doesn't open till 1pm.
The new landlord was carrying some stick over from George Inn at 6 pm.
The pub has definitely re opened

Yes I agree it has lost something but the beer was better .
Some of the Old references and memrobillia that was on the walls have gone and it does smell if paint .
Had a pint if the Moonshine and it was nice.
