Not all supporters of independence want an early second referendum.

This close on fifty year war on European Union membership within the Conservative and Unionist Party of Great Britain and Northern Ireland has still got a few more years to run. 'We' should just sit tight and enjoy the 'Tories' f****g each other in the farter until the next UK General Election and the next Scottish Election have taken place. Although the Labour party are not as openly split as the Conservatives it will be interesting to see their representation at Westminster and Holyrood after the next elections.

As my health is fairly stable at the moment I am in no rush.

There is also the matter of change, upset, strife and election/referendum weariness to consider. Personally, although I am in a minority, I would wait until 2024 before starting out on the road to 'Indy2'. Giving that it would take about a further two years before any referendum could be arranged the "once in a generation" hurdle would largely be overcome.

Just the thoughts of a Scottish 'Nazi'.

The DWP have told loveable bear Pudsey that he should go and find work instead of receiving handouts, on account of the fact he is not fully blind.

The big cuddly bear, who has been the mascot for Children In Need in a voluntary capacity since 1985, has been left stunned by the ruling and now faces an uncertain future.

“I have always relied on the generosity of others to survive, and in return, I have fronted fundraising activities for Children In Need over the last three decades,” he told us this morning.

“But I received a call from my local DWP this morning, of all days, telling me that following my recent assessment apparently losing the sight in one eye is not bad enough to prevent me getting full-time employment and that all my benefits will be withdrawn with immediate effect.

“I now have no choice but to go back to my previous employment of being a bouncer at Wetherspoons, which is how I lost my right eye in the first place.”

Though the move has angered many members of the public, the DWP has defended the decision as being in line with their official policy.

A spokesperson for the DWP confirmed, “Pudsey has been taking the piss for years and it is time for that to come to an end. Anyone watching Children In Need can plainly see him jumping around, waving his arms and hugging kids.

“If he can hold a giant charity cheque then he can get back to work, the scrounger.”

Wee bit of factually correct information...

Before Indy Ref(original) the Yes vote was around 26% according to the polls at the time. So a starting position of 40-43% for Indy Ref 2 would be an excellent platform to throw off the shackles of the Westminster bankers bitches.

even if brexit happens and im still not convinced, it will only be temporary, so voting for independence because of that would be reactionary and stupid

the fact that you are held to ransom in the eu should set alarms bells ringing, needing to negotiate a deal to leave, its the same problem that there is no real power in government, as long as they have no power over money they have no power, nothing fundamental can be changed from within politics, all they can do is slightly modify a budget, increase by cuts or tax, spend more here or there, while the grip of the banks continues to tighten with ever increasing debt which is the only possible result of the monetary system, the government is enslaved like everyone else

How would Brexit only be temporary? Are we going to realise what a cock-up it was after a year and all vote to go back to the way it used to be? Would they want or have us back in the EU after we've f.ucked them off? Asking for a friend who isn't really bothered but would like to understand more.
