Far from winding you up mate. I don't come on here to do that unlike others. I genuinely tried to look at this from all sides before I realised remaining was the sensible option. My point is, and I say it again, this was never on the paper. Did you think leaving meant this? Did a remain voter think remaining meant this? If the answer is No, then nobody truly knew what they were voting for! Not meant in a condescending or patronising way, just a logical thought process.

You are twisting things Bob.
No, I didn't vote for this deal.
However, I KNOW what I DID vote for and I firmly believe that a leave supporter in charge instead of remainers would have delivered a deal I would have been happy for.
Of course no one voted for this pile of treaturous ****!
That's not the same as leavers not knowing what we voted for.
May has lied and lied to us. The government have renegued on their manifesto commitment to leave the customs union

Parliament as a whole voted to leave the customs union.

They are deceitful ****s!

What is the mechanism for an extension?

Although I think this will never happen I am aware the Nick Smegg wants the date to be extended if rejected by the house. For me it’s a remoaner ploy to stop the democratic process. Then again what does he care...student fees...EU army?
May has tried to please both sides and failed. We voted to leave and should have just sorted a free trade deal which they wanted and said goodbye alfweidersein au revoir and moved forward.

Given that no one, absolutely no one could have known exactly how this would all play out it just isn't possible to have known what you were voting for. All you could have had were your own reasons and a hope for what Brexit would look like.

Fair enough Col. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, unfortunately that's as far as it goes regarding politics.

That's just not true.
See my post above.

I voted to leave the customs union and single market. When the vote was won, parliament voted to implement that.

The ****s have gone back on it!!

Not sure that’s right. Remainers knew what they were voting for, no change. And Leavers could have had a very clear idea of what they wanted/expected, although they may have had different pictures of this. But none of us could have known the real outcomes of a leave majority in the referendum, as proven by the current farce.

It doesn’t help when you have the opinion that France and Germany are running the EU and using that just for themselves

I am sick of the culture that has developed in the UK we are a nation of moaners that lives to blame someone else always. We are a people that cannot take responsibility anymore and all of us are so self obsessed we cannot look at anything larger than our own lives

In the case of politics it’s just about careers

These people like the public sector and the NHS work for us you know that when you take the job

Yep when I took the job I knew I’d be working for you, Paul.
It was one of the main benefits in my eyes :)

Sincere respect Staines you do a brilliant job
I don’t have much faith however in the NHS administration side... this I have had to phone up my surgeon and my consultant then the hospital just to get my next operation done

Only took a day as it appeared they are all using different administration systems

I actually agree that extension is the most likely scenario now. Wasn't being flippant. However, unclear on what the mechanism is.

One would think that if it's best for both sides, common sense would prevail, but that's sadly not an overly safe assumption...

Not sure I entirely agree. Many warned pre referendum that one couldn't reconcile the many promises of leave campaigners - leaving customs union and free market, while retaining strong trade relationship, and crucially, no border in Ireland. The chaos was forseen and was willfully ignored.

See this warning for one example of many:

And you pretend to get angry when people call you a WUM.

Fair point Col you are right that was a throw away comment. I think we can all agree at last that British Politics is currently the laughing stock of the world... as I have been saying for years on here

The respect and the history of democracy of our country destroyed

If people cannot see how how that influence has engained itself into UK Culture then they are blind
iMO ... In My Opinion... no wind ups

I sincerely believe that a Brexiteer knows that things aren’t right in the UK and hence we had a massive protester vote that blamed a third party through a developed culture

Stupid idea?
No solutions given post Brexit so what future?
You were lied to then by leave campaign yet chose to call that Project Fear

A Remainer knew exactly what they were voting for

I would like to know exactly who are the people on this forum who are happy with a no deal Brexit plus I would love to read a few points that unquestionably support that

If that could be done without WUMs calling Europeans or Remainers names to feed their egos that would be a real debate on here imo

Have Gove and Johnson left the country?
Don’t be silly Stroller Gove will be waiting to see what the best move is. He needs to check with his wife first.
Surprised by. Leadsom? After losing to May before I thought it would be a good payback. I guess there are some who have principles.

So she has a news conference at 5pm. Surely she must know that this won’t work.
I see the usual remoaners are running around trying to get a second vote. Trying to flog a dead horse. Sadly Brexit would have be so much easier without the enemy within. I just hope if we are betrayed that plenty of these betrayers lose their jobs.

Yeah well I hope arch Brexiteers lose their hair.

So there.
