This is a bit outlandish and some of you my think i am mad. What would you say to Newcastle taking 4 or 5 of the top scorers in the northern league on trial for a week or two, seeing who performs best and possibly giving a short term deal till end of season? I know we have had a few on trial before and nothing has worked out, but they are technically free agents, so it is an option??? what do you think??
A canny few of the top end Northern League lads have already been told they weren't up to scratch when they were on schoolboy terms. Kicked out. Mind, to be fair, one mans opinion can be enough to ruin a kid who could easily be good enough as they mature. 2 years ago Carroll was a decent prospect and has gone for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã35 million! Madness. Nile Ranger had people more impressed with his potential. One thing about Carroll is he bulked up loads to have too much power for defenders so hopefully Nile might go the same way, he has the pace anyway. I would gladly see him start ahead of Best for the rest of the season. If he does he will bag us 8 or 9 goals for sure.
But surely if Newcastle came knocking asking for trials etc then they wouldn't turn it down. This could make a guys whole life if it works out? Edit - Just realisd if they are under contract we couldn't sign them untill the end of the season anyways. Ignore this post.
Whether they want to or not is not the issue, its the fact that Blyth would require a fee, thus, they are not free agents.
Yea I realised that after I pressed post haha. I tried to Edit it fast but it seems you got there before I could.
