Off out for a roast at 3. Then plan to slope to the pub opposite and perhaps watch a bit of the football until we start getting torn a new one at least.
Everything these days is supposed to be signed off by a qualified sparky. But I rewired my house (with help from my brother) You obviously need to know what type of cable to use for which load rating and what type of RCD switches to use at the fuse box etc, then it's just basic wiring after that. My house is 140 years old, so everything is visible and all the cable runs across the surfaces, which makes it easier than chasing cable through cavity walls and plasterboard etc.
Went to Wimborne Minster @10:30 , stood by the Minster green and watched the preparations . Payed my / our respects , then went for a walk and now back home .
So like the shed, you watched your brother do it then House bashing isn't particularly difficult, making sure that you have adequately earthed the place is probably the bit that the "non-sparky's" forget. There's nothing in the regs that say you can't do it, it just needs to have the testing done by a qualified sparks.
Still not got my Licence back , but still going to need a car . Have thought about a Mondeo / Focus . Had a ride in a taxi the other day a Peugeot 508 . Any own / had a Peugeot ? If so , your thoughts regards reliability etc ?
