We got well and truly thumped, that`s what I think. Sounded like Crawley taught us a harsh lesson.

To be fair to Matty H - he was one our best players out there today! He tried his best but was too often manhandled by their two centre backs - at least he tried! He had two players marking him because Crawley knew that our game play flows through him - take him out and voila! His strike (I say that with liberty!) partner offered very little threat and beat himself more often than not!
We never got our own game going at any stage and Crawley bossed it from the start (I left after the 3rd goal went in) so I cant comment on anything after that time. Up until then I thought Crawley were a horrible team that played a terrible brand of football. Very hard in your face, niggley time wasting, aggressive and the ref played right into their hands. People reading this will say I am biased and I suppose I am, but at no stage of the game I watched today did the ref give us anything. Harrold was manhandled every time he went for the ball. When they lost the ball they were all arms and legs and pushing and shoving. They are a tall side and most of the time direct - whooosh - into the channels, and their right back has an exorcet throw-in which they used to great length.
At the start of the day all I wished for was a good game of football and I would/could accept our defeat had we been played off the park by a decent footballing team, this however was not the case. What football they played we allowed them too, and they never allowed us to play at all (today it looked like we couldn't play even if they had let us!). So Crawley I would like to say well played but I don't like your style, manager or poxy little ground ... hopefully your money bags men will pull the plug soon and you can go back to where you came from - lots of love - a very dissheartened frustrated Gashead!

it sounds like you were playing a bunch of cloggers, i assume they clogged their way out of the conference. we must wear double shinguards and cricket boxes when we play them

today reminded me or what happens to crouch when he is in a england shirt. every time the ball goes to crouch the opposition are all over him ref blows up for a foul against crouch. so frustrating. thats what it was like today seeing harrolds treatment from the ref. pretty much what has happened every game this season!

the throwing from their player did my head in. dont get me wrong, its very effective and a good tactic to use. but it took like 2/3 mins for him to take his throw! it took him forever! time wasting git.

asking AJ to wait until he sees them play is wrong. he dont even see his team the shrews play. the times of his post/threads are during the games meaning he dont go to watch the games for whatever reason of course. unless he posts on his moble while at a game but i cant the point in that when your at a game but spends all your time on the phone on someone elses board <doh>

lodger, what excuses?? we were crap yesterday. even if the ref did support harrold and if they didnt time waste, we still would not have won. we still be playing now and would not have scored. the goal we did score was lucky and not deserved! no excuses. we were purely ****e <ok>
