A good few huge spreads to be covered this week.
I was encouraged by Pittsburgh playing their best overall game of the season in destroying Carolina because they were my first bet to win the Superbowl this season and they just haven't put it together in limping to a 5-2-1 record but this was much more like it. They are back to the 10/1 I took before the season started.
I added Kansas City at 14/1 when I saw how well Mahomes was playing and they have dangerous players in their offence. A 16.5 pt spread is too high to invest against this week but hopefully they churn out another win.
For the spread betting this week I took Washington with a 3.5 pt start against Tampa Bay. The Bucaneers started the season on a wave of Fitzmagic hysteria but journeymen quarterbacks don't suddenly morph into action heroes late in their careers andthe bubble burst quickly. Ryan Fitzpatrick is back after a Jameis Winston horror show saw his selfconfidence collapse and I feel the Redskins can bounce back from a poor show last week.
The New England Patriots have proved almost money in the bank on spread concessions of less than 7 pts for me these past few seasons and I reckon they can roll another one off the production line after Tennessee were probably flattered against a mediocre Dallas team last week. -6.5 pts New England looks Nap material.
New Orleans seem as good as they have ever been as Drew Brees has been passing landmarks on the way to a 7-1 record. The Saints never seem to let up on offence and I think they can overcome the sickening injury to new target Dez Bryant in practice this week. It was a kick in the teeth to see the new signing go down during routine practice with a torn achilles tendon but Cincinnati have been a disappointment for a long time and I feel the Saints can win by a touchdown this week.
Final pick this week is Indianapolis, At home I think they can put Jacksonville away by more than 3 pts. The Jags had a good game when pumping the Patriots but they have struggled since and look to be struggling. The Colts started shakily but have got it going better and Andrew Luck is very capable on his day. I reckon they are playing better than Jaguars this month and can win by between 6-10 pts to cover the spread.
