are we shocked.

we all know the top 6 teams who drop most points around these lower clubs will be outside top 4.

there a none of these sides that are going to do a city over.
I was referring to Palace giving away 2 goals in 5 minutes just because Hazard came on.

They'd played well in the first half and then gave away a soft goal, got them selves back into the game with a goal and then collapsed because they wet themselves when Hazard walked on the pitch. Pathetic.

They do the same to us.

It is now a major surprise if a top 6 side loses to one outside. And it is also the case that the bottom 14 sides can beat each other. We’ve always talked about 2 leagues within the EPL and now there is no doubt about that.

City’s consistency against these sides is just frightening. We cannot rely on ourselves beating them. We need other top sides to take points from them.

in the end.... city are on a roll. they are in form so we need to push ourselves and in the end there's a margin between ending up back at 75 points wondering where did it go wrong or being on 85 points with a couple to go and being able to apply pressure if not be ahead.

If you.look at it. 10 points is 5 draws or 3 losses plus one point...

the season cpuld well.come down to a few few games.

All the other teams in the league are too **** scared of Citeh to do anything.

They all just figure they'll lose and just move onto the next game before the game has even started. Bunch of ****ing losers, no wonder a big six emerged.
Only Wolves have shown any balls this season

We were a shambles today but don't think that applies to us, if anything we went too attacking. We basically went 4-4-2 at the Etihad with Hoedt and Stephens as our cb's <doh>

As a more general point, most of the league can't compete with the top 6 in general let alone City!

It helps that city have about 5 creative players in Mahrez, Sterling, Silva x 2 & De Bruyne that they can pretty much rotate as they please to 1, keep everyone fresh, 2 keep competition high and 3 keep opposition guessing about how they line up.

They only play 3 of those at once, those players would walk into every team in the league so fact city can not play some of them shows the depth they have. That plus the fact they have a fear factor when they ply those sides makes them so consistent.

You are right.

Silva plays all the time as he is critical.

b.silva is playing for de bruyne and frankly kdb has not really been missed.

pep is happy to drop jesus in for Aguero so he gets rest

and then finally sane sterling and mahrez for two slots.means he is resting of of the three each week.

sterling last week I think? mahrez this week.

this is why I wanted to keep Wilson and buy another forward. we have this quasi forward/midfielder for 12 mil who s done ok and looks busy but klopp isn't resting his front 3 much bar using sturridge

and our other sub... origi... Who wouldn't agree a deal to **** off.

and yet fans lose their but that we drew to a top 4 rival...

It is all down to the manager. He has assembled an expensive talented squad and still managed to get all the players to happily play his system. They slot in easily in and out and you hardly notice the absence of a player like DeBryune. That takes some doing.

However they are not an invincible team. As the CL matches have shown they are dominant domestically but against top European sides they are not that much superior.

As long as City are in this current form, it will be really tough for us. BUT we have to keep going. Just like Chelsea are doing. We have to wait for that usual sticky period that most clubs even City go through. To be able to take advantage we have to be close and that means scoring when we create these chances. Goal difference could play a part too. We should try to match their huge GD but the points are the priority.

The other thing is that all other good sides have to make sure that the EPL does not become a league whose title is decided by Christmas like last season. Not just top 6 but also sides like Everton, Bournemouth, have to take points off them. If not then, the task we (title challengers) have is Herculean: we could beat everyone outside the top 6: we get 84 points. Then have to get 16 points against the other 5 “top 6” sides if we were going to match that 100 points they seem to be on course to replicate. Wins not draws are needed. This is one of the rare occasions that we should wish the red mancs to win but it is a long shot at the Etihad.

another factor is red cards not given that they should have received by now. esp the one just because it was early in game bollocks argument. chopping of the legs one could have gone either way, but they should have had 1 red card in that game, thees decisions have a bearing on what team they can put out as well in games.

I fully agree.

Last season was a different scenario - City were out of sight and Utd were our rivals for top 4 until we faded by concentrating on the CL. This season we have City in sight (so far) and Utd are well behind.
Utd win for me.

Logic would dictate a scum win, but I'd just feel so filthy. I don't know if I can bring myself to want it <yikes>

At this point CIty's results have been:

Manchester City 6 1 Southampton
Spurs 0 1 Manchester City
Manchester City 5 0 Burnley
Liverpool 0 0 Manchester City
Manchester City 2 0 Brighton and Hove Albion
Cardiff City 0 5 Manchester City
Manchester City 3 0 Fulham
Manchester City 2 1 Newcastle United
Wolverhampton Wanderers 1 1 Manchester City
Manchester City 6 1 Huddersfield Town
Arsenal 0 2 Manchester City

I think people need to just relax a little bit.

City have won 2 and drawn 1 of their top 6 games.

They have won all the other games. and won well.... but hang on... LFC have won their games against the non top 6 as well.

What i see is:

Southampton
Burnely
Brighton
Cardiff
Fulham
Newcastle
Hudderfield

Thats basically all of the teams from no 15 to no 20 currently, plus 12th placed brighton.

So city have beaten up the worst teams in the prem and it's title over???

Liverpool results thus far:
West Ham United 4-0
Crystal Palace 2-0
Brighton 2-1
leicester 2-1
Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 (a)
Southampton 3-0
Chelsea 0-0 (a)
Manchester City 1-1 (h)
Huddersfield Town 1-0
Cardiff 4-1
Arsenal 1-1 (a)

What do i see?

3 of 4 top 4 rivals played away form home. 4 games to city's 3. 1 win and 3 draws

We have played so far:

current 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th and 20th placed teams. all wins.

Theres harder games to come for both sides. city held 3 clean sheets v those poorer teams but have scored a lot. LFC have had just slightly (not by much) harder fixutres and have 4 clean sheets in the games and frnakly only the brighton and huddersfield games are let downs form GD point of view.

We play fulham next at home. City won 3-0 against them.
