nice to see the front 3 scored. Sounds like shaq and Fabinho has really good games. next weeks game of Napoli v psg will be interesting. A Napoli win and a win for us would put both in a very strong position, with both needing just a draw against each other to progress.
Very pleased. A fun match to watch. I reckon firmino looked good, much slicker with the ball, better first touch and control and it showed with the rest of the team looking better round him. The lad is integral to everything good we do
Wasn't as impressed by Fabinho as others here seemed to be, thought he was very awkward and gave the ball away far too often, few needless fouls which weren't "smart" fouls to break up play either. But he had a few good moments so happy to give him time to ease into our team and see what happens. Not our best performance, but it was a step in the right direction for sure! Our forward 3 all scoring is big for confidence and they showed glimpses of their link up play. Robbo and Shaqiri were great. Gomez and VVD so assured at the back (and doesn't he suit that armband!). Also impressed with Sturridge's cameo once again
hmmm suppose. though surely as a sub at 4-0 up to rest lads these guys have some use even for jimmy that's my ideal result as well. if the next game between the others is a draw and we can win by any margin then we have to have a good chance
Need to try win the group. The likes of Dortmund look quality this season, don't want to play them anytime soon
Anything past last 16 is a bonus! Seriously though.... we are now assured of 3rd worst case but could well be looking at a draw in Paris to secure qualification.
Didn’t realise psg equalised. In theory if results go as planned next week then table will be lfc 9 Psg 7 napoli 5 i guess it would mean a draw v Napoli in week 5 would be enough to put us through and make it winner takes all v psg in final game for top of the table. Shame Napoli got that last minute winner or we’d be 6 ahead of them and beating Belgrade next week would mean we’d def be through as not both psg and Napoli could catch us I think
