I won't deny I hate him but I don't see what that has to do with anything? I could flip it and say you idolise him and so will therefore never see him as someone who done wrong. The video is there for everyone to see, he claims he said "I never called you a" before what was captured on video, it's down to whether you believe that or not. I don't - and I'd bet most of the general public who saw the incident don't either. You said "why didn't black players pipe up" - Cole was closest to the scene, he's hardly going to testify against his club captain (and probable friend) is he?
Why wouldn't he? Surely he would feel compelled to if Terry racially abused someone. Why didn't any of the black QPR players come forward?
If you were Cole would you have testified against Terry? Because I know I wouldn't have. I'd have probably had words with Terry behind closed doors but I wouldn't have gone public/ court with it. Team mates have one another's backs, even if you know one has done wrong. It depends who was around the scene of the incident, I can't remember who was around Terry at the time other than Cole. It also depends on whether those people actually heard it as well.
Of course he'll have support, that's natural. Though I bet if you ran a general poll amongst football fans, the majority would sway massively in favour saying he made racist remarks.
Possibly but then football grounds are hardly the quietest of places. And what about the former point - if you were Ashley Cole would you have testified against Terry?
If I was a black man, yes. Equally, if a black friend racially abused a white man I would testify. Racism in any form is abhorrent, I hate it.
Terry said the words "****ing black ****" to which he's even admitted to saying. It's whether you then choose or not to believe that he said "I never called you a" in front of it. Call it hating if you like for not believing him, I'm just making a judgement on the evidence provided... Let's also not forget, this is a bloke who shagged a team mate's bird, has a drug dealer for a Dad and a shoplifter for a Mum, hardly a model citizen surrounded by the best of people is he?
Fair enough. I agree in that racism is abhorrent but I'd still have my team mate's/ friend's back in court if need be. Outside of court you can then deal with it personally but I just think there's things you sort of have your mate's backs on, even if you know they're in the wrong.
No but mud sticks, mate. ****y parents, ****y behaviour with his mate's missus and then is visibly seen saying "****ing black ****" on camera... Hater or not, it's hard to look at Terry as being innocent in the situation.
Being the media, the bit before it wasn't shown. Look you've admitted that you hate him, so we're just going around in circles here. We won't change each other's minds. To say that I would defend him because I'm a Chelsea fan is way off the mark, as anyone who knows me would tell you.
