Is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang the best striker in the Prem currently?

Statistically he must be - has been directly involved in 21 goals in his 22 Premier League games for Arsenal (16 goals, five assists).

,,, but would he make your All Prem Star team? ... if not, who would you have in preference?

Kane and/ or Aguero.

Auba’s been good though. Actually spoke about him with my mate who has a ST at the emirates. He said the one criticism he has of him is that he don’t turn up against the top sides - similarly with Ozil.

I beg to differ <whistle>

In all seriousness he was very good last night ... and whilst Aguero currently edges it (IMHO) I think Arsenal have got themselves a gem who will get better and better ...

Maybe but he's 29, can't see him improving too much although could be wrong.

I like him as a player but when my mate told me about his lack of goals against top sides, I checked transfermarkt and it's true, didn't score against us (even if people don't wanna call us a top side, in a NLD, it's a game that counts), City or Utd last season and failed against City and Chelsea this.

Kane and Aguero are definitely ahead of him in my opinion. For me Kane is the number one striker in the division, he's probably fortunate in that Aguero has missed long spells over the years as otherwise it'd likely be Aguero but in Kane's four full seasons of first team football, he's finished second, top, top, second in terms of the Prem golden boot along with breaking Shearer's goal record in a calendar year, don't really think there's much of an arugment against him even if I am naturally going to be biased in his favour.

Fosse is desperate...the ****ing closet Gooner <laugh>

In ya jump Spulock ... <laugh>

... and I'm not desperate in any way ... I did however think "now we are fooked" last night when he was due to come on ... Big Harry and one of Jonny Evans / Big Wes are always vulnerable to that type of striker ... it was only later that I saw his Prem stats on the BBC ... if you are not impressed by them you must be a ... oh wait ... you are <laugh>

I can't recall you doing a similar thread for Salah last season...we will leave Kane out of it incase you start crying...you Gooner tit

<rofl>

^^^^ Rattled ^^^^

<laugh>

Yes because Salah wasn't very good last season eh? <doh>

Stop blubbing, Spulock ffs <wah><wah><wah>

No one is blubbing...unless being stood next to the coffee machine...checking out some pussy at work whilst stirring my hot chocolate, is blubbing in your world.

Like I said...you didn't do a thread like this for Salah last year and he was in some mad form...my point remains...you wear Gooner pants.

I guess what im really trying to say is Hiag rattled you so bad that you became a Gooner <laugh>

HIAG! <laugh> ... Matth's batty boy couldn't rattle his wizard's wand ... never mind other posters ....

I might not have done a thread on Salah perhaps ... but that proves diddly squat ... I was very complimentary about both him and Coutinho early doors in the season .. I posted this thread because of Aubangaman's incredible stats ... which I would suggest have even eclipsed Salah's for that number of games... don't forget Salah's first spell in the Prem was at Chelsea ... I didn't do a thread about him then either <doh>

Blimey.... you Spurs girls are real sensitive types aren't you? ... "somebody said something good about an Arsenal player ... blub ... blub ..." <wah><wah>
... "best pretend to be looking at girls by the coffee machine in case anybody sees me blubbing" ...<wah><wah><wah>

:cool:

One of you lads pass Spulock the hankies ... not the man size ones ... that would be politically incorrect and he might have to blame it on Arsenal .. <laugh>

Yes, it is truly desperate stuff on the part of the OP, Bruv.

Just because Arsenal took Leicester apart, last night, suddenly every one of Arsenal's players is a world-beater. What Bambi doesn't appear to be able to grasp is that any half decent side is going to be able to destroy Leicester with ease, just as Arsenal did.

As for Aubamayang, he's clearly good enough to "flatter to deceive" against sides like Leicester, but I want to see what he can do against us big boys, before anyone crows too loudly.

Oh dear Quentin ...out of your depth again ...<laugh>

Aubameyang and Lacazette have formed a really good partnership, it's early days but it reminds me of those natural partnerships that form like Bergkamp and Henry, Dwighte York and Andy Cole, Sutton and Shearer. They just seem to be wired to each other's wavelength and they are clearly good mates off the field too. It's a partnership that's going to get better too as this team begins to find it's form under Emery.

Anyway as for best in the PL, as Dier says, not until he starts banging them in consistently against the big team he's not. But in terms of raw skill and ability he's up there with the best.

For me atm

1. Aguero
2. Aubameyang
3. Kane
4. Sterling
5. Sturridge (if he could stay fit)
