Well hidden I would think after trousering 35 million and getting 3 forwards off the payroll without anyone coming in. Dont think he will surface until the end of the season when after another relegation announces he is very sorry that he didnt take even more money out of the club before once again putting the club up for sale. Think this sounds far fetched lets be honest nothing would surprise me anymore about this monster. Does anyone think we will ever be rid of him?. No-one can blame the players they are victims in this as well. Most fans are stressing themselves mental over this he won't lose a minutes sleep I think even relegation won't worry him he has a big profit and more to come either way.:emoticon-0106-cryin
 
Yeah unfortunately i've been thinking for a while now that until we get rid of the poison (named Mike Ashley and his sidekick Derek) at this club then we're going to be doomed for a while.
 
You forgot the rest. Put's the club up for sale, hangs about Dubai for a few days before deciding to keep the club after all, coincidentally racking up a 45 mil gambling debt. "I wonder how much I can get out of Shola Ameobi" He wonders aloud.
 
This may sound farfetched but I am convinced that Mike Ashley is intent on destroying Newcastle United and the Geordie nation in retribution for the abuse that has been directed at him. There can be no other explaination for some of the strokes he has pulled. Every time we get a little taste of stability he does something to really piss us off. He is a very rich man and the loss of a few quid to gain his revenge on us will be well worth it in his eyes. God help us !
 
Hmm... I may get lambasted for this... but I think we're making more out of the 'Evil Cashley' than there is. Now, i'm not saying that i wouldn't want a new owner. But i don't think that Mike is vindictive or trying to ruin the club. He's just a little bit misguided, and frankly on a very steep 'how to run a football club (not a business)' learning curve.

We're all well aware that he has made some (terrible) decisions in the past. And he hasn't really invested much at all in the team (but he has in the club, to the tune of £100 million of his own money?). But what he has done is get us on a sound financial footing. Under his stewardship i think we've got one of the best financial models in the premiership. And, while it is going to hinder us to the transfer market, i really like the imposed wage cap - it says to me 'If you don't want to play for us because of the money, then you don't have the heart to play for Newcastle', as well as 'i'm a tight git'.

Anyway, all i'm saying is give him some time. Just like we complain about managers not getting enough time to build their side. Let's see how we progress in the next few years - i might have to eat my words...
 
I think that Mike Ashley is trying to get the club on a firm business footing to make it more attractive to potential buyers. He is gambling that we stay in the Premiership and I am sure that if we do, he will put the club up for sale again in the summer.

This time hoewever, he will be selling a far more profitable business. A premiership club with a sensible wage structure in place, a comparitively low debt (£100 million to Ashley but with £35 million in the account, plus incoming Sky and Premier League payments), a decent squad that should, with a couple of additions, be able to finish mid table next year, plus some very good young academy players coming through.

The fans are still attending games in good numbers and producing decent matchday revenue.

I honestly believe that if Ashley was offered a figure that would give him most of his money back, he would take it faster than a mackem with an invitation to be a guest on Jeremy Kyle.

Hate to sound too cycical but is that mid table in the Premier League or the Championship?
 
Surely Newcastle United FC would look far more attractive to potential buyers if it had a 22 year old England striker in the team? Rather than a team that now needs to spend millions upon millions to have a front line that will be able to compete at this level?
