How about 3 teams? Still more than bloody La Liga!

I never said La Liga was more competitive, why do people keep saying that? The Manc clubs have it sewn up and there is a very slight glimmer that Chelse will feature.

2003-2004. They were very much in the running until April/May, and finished 7th - seven points off a Champions League place. Had it not been for Scott Parker leaving for Chelsea in the January, they may well have maintained their good form for longer.

Do you disagree?

Apparently, Bolton were told not to go for the Champions League (we were very close) and so Big Sam left the club for some reason (I'm guessing this one).

Don't blame the owners as we were rushing into it without the depth to cope but still <laugh>

We were comparing league initially and I thought you were. Sorry <ok>

Chelsea under their new manager will threaten more than most expect. Though Torres hasn't scored yet, Sturridge is back from his 3 match ban so he may feature instead of that £50 million ****-up.

Anyway, I just checked the league tables from that season, and Charlton were 4th in mid-March, and Birmingham were 5th on Goal Difference.

Yes, that "Charlton nonsense" really shouldn't have been mentioned.

Do I disagree with your thoughts on wheather or not Scott Parker leaving Charlton mid season put their spot in Europe in jeopardy nearly 10 years ago? I don't know Erik, I don't bloody know but it has ofton kept me up at night

I listed a number of teams who had, at some point in the past decade (or so) competed at the top end of the Premier League.

You then pretty much said I was bullshitting you, so I gave you the facts and asked if you still believed I was posting "Charlton nonsense" (<laugh>).

Nothing to do with you needing Horlicks to overcome a Scott Parker obsession.

I like how you did (<laugh>)

Looks right ******ed.

On-topic - I'm sure we can class Wolves competing for the CL now?

Last season, Bolton wanderers (in 14th) were as close (in points) to the champions as villareal were (in 4th). /Discussion about the two leagues can end now :)

Was this guy playing Erik?
