Curious race tomorrow in Ayr 17:15 over 1m 5f, class 6. Some jumping horses are running there and perhaps the most attracting attention are Cubomania, Guitar Pete and Las Tunas. The last race of Cubomania in Flat was a disaster (14/14 more than a year ago) although it’s true that it was about 1m 2f and it was in Ireland. Tomorrow comes out with a ridiculous mark of 53 with Fannnig on board and comes from winning three of his last four races in fences. For his part Guitar Pete doesn’t run since April and his last career in Flat was in the same Ayr with a 2/11 on the same distance of tomorrow in July last year. Las Tunas, who arrived from France two years ago, comes from winning his last race that has been the only one that has run in Flat in UK and went to early June on 1m 7f also in Ayr.
Morning, team. Bit of an obscure question but does anyone know what the maximum field permissible is at Kempton Park over 1 mile 4 furlongs??? I’m guessing its around 15 but can’t find the actual answer to my ponderable anywhere.
Chicken and sweetcorn pasta salad. 9/10. Team, I was flicking through my copy of ‘House and Hound’ at lunch, I buy it for the picture of the fox on page 3 (apologies that’s a very old joke) and I was dismayed and disappointed to see that their reports and pictures on the Arc ran to all of 1, I say 1, page! Amazing when you think of some of the dross that they devote dozens of pages to. Still they redeemed themselves slightly by printed a very nice picture of Princess Camilla within the publication. Arc coverage 0.5/10. Picture of Princess Camilla 10/10.
Fish (no idea what species) in breadcrumbs, savoy cabbage and carrots (beautifully sliced). Elected to leave the carbs alone. 8/10.
Is she the one getting married tomorrow??? Stick, my old love, hang your head in shame that’s an outrageous slur.
News from the all-conquring yard of Mr Tizzard. Native River will start off in the Betfair Chase at Haydock and attempt to win the million quid bonus. Thistlecrack is off to Weatherby for a crack at the Charlie Hall Chase and I'm told (by the trainers son and former top jockey, Joe) that Kilbricken Storm jumped fences for the first time this morning under Harry Cobden and all and sundry were mightily impressed. RSA will be the target one assumes.
After scratching my head for 15 minutes I’ve just deduced that that means £10. And I didn’t even have to ask Mr Google. Cor blimey, I haven’t felt this intelligent since I watched an episode of ‘Columbo’, at the weekend, and correctly identified the murderer.
Excellent, thank you. I really like one next Tuesday but fear he may not get in as there are loads of horses entered in the race (he missed the cut by 2 in a similar heat elsewhere at the end of last week and then enormously frustratingly the race ended up with 2 non-runners!).
You may or may not know this but the top four in that heat are the first to be balloted out as they are rated above the range for this race!
Just counted down and mine is number 31. He’s going to need quite a few to come out to get a run. Looks unlikely.
hi mates! hope, youre well.. bangor,2 50: well, theres not a lot between these here, but a slight advantage goes to the mare MOLLY CHILDERS.she makes her chase debut today, but her last run over hurdles is working out very well, with the first and third winning again since.also does she get a good mares allowance, which can only help..
bangor,3 20: BISHOPS COURT wasnt at his best, when last seen in action, but hes back on his last winning mark, and noel fehily is back in the saddle, who has a great record on him,so although the outsider of the four here,by no means discounted..
