Yeah credit wether due he was very good.TAA wasn’t at his best mid week and hasn’t been brilliant all season. Still only young as well, needed s break and Lovren was very very good today I thought

He's also become great at giving the ball away lately though.my problem wasn't Lovren but rather that imo TAA offers a bigger threat going forward than Gomez and as i said before the game their LB area was one we could target.
well he's in expensive company thereHe's also become great at giving the ball away lately though.
Hope not, we should go back to what has been working. Gomez has been superb at CB.So....
Do we think that post international break that this exact back 5 will remain together?
No he didn'tMcCunty says City dominated for 85 minutes, should have had 3 penalties, and Fernandinho should have been awarded a negative yellow card for fair play

Def think salah, firm, robbo, Gomez, vvd, keita & Gini looked like they picked up knocks. Def should be held back from international games I think![]()
astro often has a rather novel interpretation of the things he reads. No he didn't
Try reading it
I thought City had more of the passing, were more of a threat...just. But we did pose a threat when we attacked too. Overall a fair result although Mahrez and Pep will be kicking themselves for not putting more daylight between us via that pen. I also thought that Mahrez does not improve their team. He may be a threat in set plays but he runs into blind alleys and lose the ball on a regular basis.astro often has a rather novel interpretation of the things he reads.
However, McNutty did write this: "City were the better side, but neither was able to produce the decisive moment." - which I think is inaccurate.
They had (very) slightly more possession, we had more shots overall and an equal number on target. Neither keeper was seriously threatened, so I don't think anyone can say either side was better.I thought City had more of the passing, were more of a threat...just. 1. vvd... he's holding the side together. seriously he's just about stopping everything near him.
2. alisson. nothing comes off him, holds everything. he's learned his lesson big style.it seems.
3. salah. anyone saying he needs a rest...I dunno.. surely people.can see he is making runs and working hard? the chances are not coming cos he are not creative.
4...Milner.. we all knew he was used up in league cup and game after game.
5. Keita clearly.not fit. also his stamina is lacking currently. serious work needed there to adapt. we all should have known preseason day 1. fabinho and kieta fell out early and Milner trashed everyone.

VVD played well but made a rash tackle that could have lost us a point and given City a lead on us.
Salah is really having a bad time. If he had been his last season self we would have been top of the league on our own and not third. He needs to be dropped for his own sake (Klopp can dress it up as give him a much needed rest)
Interestingly the bookies are not giving equal or similar odds to the 5 teams bunched up at the top. They still make LFC and City clear favourites ahead of the other 3. The mancs are not given any chance and cannot even hope to finish above us.
VVD is the most important player in this team IMO.
