Much as I'd like Mourinho to go, I'm not part of the hope we lose brigade, that would be ridiculous.
It was an improved performance than the one against West Ham, although it`s hardly something to shout about.
Some posters seem to think getting rid of the manager will sort all our problems, i am not so sure that is the answer.

He is a big problem himself though and can you really see him turning it around?
Surely nobody was under the impression Mourinho was ever a long-term appointment? This meltdown always happens eventually with him.
We gambled on him to get one title, threw a lot of money at it, but last season was when it was supposed to happen. Time to go back to the drawing board.
The only question is if we'll play the same "wait until top 4 is mathematically impossible" game we played with Moyes and LVG. Much better to give the new guy some time to bed in with a little less pressure.

Getting RID of Mourinho will be a fantastic way to start rebuilding this broken team. He, Mourinho, is a complete PRINK! His negativity from preseason has transpired into a negative start for the team. He is petulant and has very little honour as a man when he has his back to the wall.
I'm very surprised that many people here somehow think that we shouldn't get rid of this whiney man that has spent so much money with nothing to show for it. He can't handle the players, he has no idea how to motivate them and over and over again this has been his story at every other club. LvG was often called obscene names on this board for lesser sins. Makes me wonder if many of us are now hanging on to some sort of hope that the situation will fix itself.
There seem to be the notion that there is no one out there to replace. What illogical fkin nonsense!! We need to stop thinking that we are somehow so special that no manager in the world is going to be capable to taking on the job of being United's manager. This thinking is strictly based on fear of failure again. But given where we are, it surely can't get much worse with all the resources at the club. We would be better served having Carrick in charge to rebuild the team spirit and respect for this great club.

I'd be interested to know if all these people suddenly calling for Carrick to be manager, who has seemingly made no difference whatsoever to the way we currently play, are the same ones who said Giggs shouldn't be given the job as he had no managerial experience.
I'd bet that a lot are.
The mistake United made was not letting Giggs run with it after Moyes was sacked, prematurely in my opinion. That was the time to have a look at the whole set up and see if a bloke who'd been at the club 20 odd years, plenty enough experience for me, could take the job on and continue in the same vein as Fergie.
Instead, we went for experience and got an utter clown in van Gaal. The whole club has been ****ed since then.
Not sure sacking Mourinho will be the magic wand everyone expects but this is a bloke who picked McTominay at centre half for one game and then subbed Sanchez instead of a seemingly stoned Lukaku the next, so he's clearly lost the plot and is making it up as he goes along.
Not Carrick though.
Either bring back Giggs, with Butt and Scholes and Carrick helping, or give it to Zidane to try to steady the ship. At least Zidane is an icon the player should play for. If he can't inspire them, who the **** can?

The biggest problem with Mourinho is himself. He is a narcistic and that type of personality is not great for building a team for longer term. I personally do not think LvG was anywhere as bad as Mourinho. If we had the same set of players now under LvG, I am somewhat confident that we would be competing.
As for Zidane; I think many people are right to be cautious. His experience is somewhat limited to Real and he had a machine in Ronaldo. I would personally go for Conte given his vast experience compared to Zidane's. But I think if we are to start a new era and be brave, it would be worth giving someone like Giggs a shot because he fully understands what the club is about and certain will always place the club above himself.
