More details on Ronaldo story.

Woman in question had hospital examination day after and reported to police but refused to say who did it.

Given a settlement was agreed with a non disclosure.... well..

I am wondering a DNA sample was secured?

It happened in Nevada and their rape law states that provided an incident is reported within 4 years of it happening it never becomes statute barred. If the case is strong enough, and apparently her original lawyer has letters from Ronaldo, or his lawyer, relating to the incident, then Ronaldo could be extradited to stand trial in the US.

Just nicked this quote from another thread.

"She said stop or no several times. She said that she doesn't want to, but she has made herself available. Afterwards I apologized. But she never screamed."

That was Ronaldo's defence in 2009, at least according to Der Spiegel.

If there's any truth in that he should be behind bars.

Hmmmm letters as in admissions or offers of hush money with no admissions....

I presume it will end up in a massive pay off.

Yeah apparently her lawyer says his lawyers already broke terms of the agreement which is why they felt confident cooperating for the piece.

Read the journos defence of the piece on Twitter. Cited literally hundreds of documents, multiple cooberating sources. Refuted with evidence each claim so far made by his side. Also pointed out that his lawyers have not actually denied the points of the piece but kept saying it was an invasion of his privacy....strange line to take ...

Defence or deposition? In any event if someone said that to police in a statement they would be found guilty in court in a heartbeat.

It's his response in a legal questionnaire (his lawyers) DS got a copy of the email. Apparently at some point they tried to replace it with a new version where he doesn't admit to everything....

Seems to me that it's wierd this came out in Germany and the first thing wasn't an arrest.

Why did it end up as a story in a paper??

Anyway. He could lose everything here worse than tiger woods.

So, the police failed to act on his own admission of guilt?
Don't think the police saw that originally. It was internal correspondence between him and his lawyers..... the journos got it somehow.

DS journo saying she acted on advice of her lawyer at time to deal... turned out he specialised in mortgages or something not this type of thing. Her claim is she thought she'd get slaughtered by his fans etc...

Tbf .... without that questionarre whether true or not is say a tough thing to prove as it usually is so long after. If that document is real.... he should be ****ed

Tbh at the time...... even now that lawyer was prob right but he didn't get her a tenth of what he could have.

Now after metoo... I'd like to think she'd be believed.

If there's documents that are privileged then they won't be admissible? But if they were part of non disclosure .... who knows

I think we can all safely assume that because it's Ronaldo, no matter what's gone on, it'll be all cleared soon enough and the post office will be missing some very big, brown envelopes around the same time.

Only issue in yankland is ... is it admissible depending on how it was obtained, in a criminal case?

Probably solid enough for a private case.

Which explains why it's come out this way?

She wants another pay off.

Question is what happened to him.

Spacy is a pariah.... what will happen to ronaldo

Apparently his lawyers ****ed up because as part of the agreement they were supposed to read a letter to him from her... they didn't.

I can see why they didn't...it would be a legal record that could be argued basically meant he admitted the act.

But...by not reading it to him, they broke the non disclosure deal.

Don't really get that. Should that be from him to her or what?

Genuinely don't know...I might have misread... I just assumed she wanted him to have to sit there and listen to the consequences for her since she wasn't going to get satisfaction in a criminal trial.... sounds like something a crisis therapist would suggest as attempt at closure etc.

It's in this for all to read. She sent him letter that was to be read to him, he was weating a white rosary apparently.

All quite detailed but it seems there's no clear indication rape kit found anything.
