Utd are a massive club but I don’t fear Poch going to them. Don’t think they’re appealing enough for him at the moment. There’s a big rebuilding job needed, essentially similar to what was needed when he took over us, can’t see why he’d fancy doing that all over again unless he just wanted a much bigger pay day. Not sure Utd - board and fans - would be as patient either. I think when Poch leaves, it’ll be for either Madrid or PSG.
You just answered your own question But yes, Madrid would be more appealing but who knows if the manager position there will be open.
True, lol. Although I don’t think money is a massive factor for him right now as he recently signed a £165k a week deal to make him the third highest paid manager in the Prem. I think if he left us it’d be for the greater chance of winning silverware, which PSG and Real have much more chance of over Utd at the moment.
I do too... Zidane would be another case of going for the big famous name instead of the right man for the job... ... Of course that would follow in the footsteps of every manager signing since Moyes got sacked so probably most likely.
Quite happy with him at the moment Just listing the teams who had won more than Spurs in the last couple seasons. In all seriousness though, I have a feeling Spurs are going to sneak the FA Cup this season. Call it a premonition.
Doubt it, mate, we don’t seem to like FA Cup semi finals. Would love to win something though, been way too long for a club of our stature and I think Poch deserves a trophy for the work he’s done, no one at the club deserves it more than him.
Yes a rebuilding job at united. But they have some great young talent that poch would love and they would back him with loads of money compared to what levy is giving him
Yep. Remember when he gave that snide little laugh on National TV in reply to a question about Willan being poached after he'd had a medical with us? You thought that was funny, at the time, but now you seem to have "woken up and smelt the coffee" about what a classless act it was, yeah?
No. Willian is class. Great bit of business imo. We didn't kidnap him mate, he came of his own free will.
I don't see why Poch would want to go back a step, even if it eventually meant he could take a further step forward in time than what he could with Spurs thanks to Utd's finances. He's established himself as one of Europe's best young managers, his next step is to start winning things, to me it wouldn't make sense to leave us for another rebuilding job. If he left, it's to add titles and trophies to his CV, which he'd do at a club like PSG/ Real. Could be wrong but I'm not worried in the slightest of losing Poch to Utd. If Tuchel or Lopetegui under perform, then it could be panic stations.
Yeah I can see why a top manager who's been around a while like Jose would be interested but it would be silly for someone like Poch to go there.
I know what you are saying but it depends if he thinks he can win things with spurs. I'm not convinced he thinks that after the summer you have had and everyone else improving. Will levy give him the money to spend with this stadium debt and the whole stadium moving fiasco? Not to the levels to challenge. I agree about real being his dream move but that's 2 years down the line and who knows if lopetugui will have rebuilt them properly. Might as well increase his own chances at united and image another team in his fashion. Not sure united will go with poch though. It's Woodward and he will probably want a big name
