I missed the local TV last night and thereâs nowt on SAFC TV about our new Centre Forward. I havenât seen any interviews or comments on Sky, apart form a few lines in the news about knowing Steve Bruce and we are an ambitious club (standard fayre to be honest from agents and new signings) so has anyone been to the AoL today to see if he has been training with the lads? Hopefully there will be an interview with him on the website this weekend sometime. Would like to hear his thoughts on the move and if he fancies a long term stay. Why is our club so bloody cloak and dagger when new lads come in? All other clubs have interviews, managers and chairman discussing the new faces but we just go silent. I reiterate that I think the lad will be a very good acquisition for us at the level we are. He may not be a top Champions League footballer but for us, he could be fantastic.
Is he not away on international duty? I'm not sure how loans differ but do you even have to pass a medical as you aren't signing a permanent contract. do you even have to be there for the paperwork to be legit or can your agent (bendy snr) complete the formalities? there's an interview on sky with him today saying he's not going back to.Arsenal no matter what. Says he's looking forward to playing for Sunderland and he'll look for a new club in the summer. Doesn't mention signing here permanent. The way I see it is he's come here to kickstart his career and use this season as a sprinboard to moving to a big club in europe next season. I have absolutely no problem with this and hope he does so well here that a few European giants are scrambling after his signature for the 2012/13 season.
Yes he is away on international duty. I don't think he would commit himself to joining us just yet because there is a lot be done beforehand. He will have to see if he likes being at the club, the setup, what happens during the season, what salary he could get here and also the club will want to see if he fits in and if he is someone we want on a permanent basis. If there is a positive outcome to all these kinds of question then SAFC could talk to Arsenal and come up with an agreeable transfer fee.
come on robin, its the sunderland board mate, cut out those dirty long words..(anyone know what it means) I know but thought I would ask anyway
Rhetorical........... Is the word used to describe Mr Butler going down on Miss Scarlet O'Hara! Waits for "Frankly MR I don't give a damn!"
