Good morning Matt & everyone

Watched the first-half of the U23's game. We had plenty of possession however created very few chances & wasted the two we had, whereas Bolton were clinical in front of goal & could have been two up but for the woodwork at half-time. Impressed with Halme & the full-back Gott who looks very good going forward. Still unconvinced any of the U23's are ready for the first-team yet.

The problem is it so hard to judge with the U23s as it is practically a non-contact sport. Look at CBJ, two loans to us and Wolves but he couldn't cut in a man's game after prancing around like a ballerina at the scum thinking he's the dogs bollocks.

Just in from work so its a good afternoon from me.
The two main differences against brum was the size and strength of them as opposed to our smaller players.the time wasting was added on we got eight minutes so can have no complaints.
They had a goalie with years of experience who i thought had retired .he was miles better than the statue we have in goal.lee camp is a damn good goalie and we have been let down by rads once again not willing to build a squad capable and strong enough.leeds fans are sick of waiting for the promised land and are once again being offered the carrot on the stick.
The Peacock fecked up at swansea and derby .to me four mistakes is way too much.the lad cant dive he has no agility to get down low.we need a top class keeper and a big striker.brum bullied us up front has anyone seriously taken a good look at this league.
The statue is one of ours and so is regarded as untouchable but i think hes whankk.

Sorry Wakey but I disagree about Peacock-Farrell as we need to build the team around him. You mention the mistakes but what about all the saves he has made this season, don't they count either? Just because their goalie had a good game doesn't mean he will do it over the whole season especially as that was the first game they had won so far. It's possible he's only played well in our game. I'll stick with our lad thanks.

Just out of interest who in your opinion is the better keeper Peacock-Farrell or Silvestri?

No competition, Peacock-Farrell by a mile! I'm a great believer that we want players who know what being Leeds means and our youngsters who have been here a while understand that. That's why I was upset when Byram, Cook, Mowatt and Taylor were sold as we should have been building our team around them and they needed each other. With Bielsa I am still of that same belief and whilst it was missing on Saturday, he has got the team playing the way I want, fighting for everything and played some fantastic football. There will always be ups and downs on the way as we rebuild and we need some older heads that's for sure. What I don't ever want to see again is paying stupid millions and millions of pounds to have someone play for us who doesn't give a damn and only comes for the money. I've seen that too much and hated it.

.... Just following up on the Lee camp being a damn good goalie. There’s a reason he's Been 2nd or 3rd choice st most clubs for a while.

Re BPF, f you start totting up mistakes... or at least ‘might have done betters’ I can see why there’s some cause for concern... but this statue you talk about? Dunno, about that... some games i’ve seen tv and live he’s been excellent, made some great saves, commanded his box. The tv pundits raving over him last year weren’t all Leeds fans excited about an academy prospect.

Let’s see how he reacts if picked Friday. If he drops a clanger I’m sure the knives will be out... and if he has blinder I’m sure you’ll be the first on here to sing his praises

A goalie is supposed to mdke saves.

Two of those players were not up to standard and im still waiting for taylor to make it at the top.byram flopped and mowatt was far too slow.

A goalie is supposed to make saves.
So using that argument, we should get rid of every player that fails to tackle. Or pass. Or dribble. Or shoot. Or head. Or cross. Or score........?

I'm not sure if you realise it, but that's exactly what you're saying:

'The youngster has failed to do an important part of his job on a few occasions, so he must go'.

But why just the goalkeeper for letting in a few goals? Why not everyone for doing what they're supposed to?

Whilst to not the same level as some, I have a nagging concern over BPF. He is a very promising Keeper but I do feel we should have brought in better for this season.

I do believe he should always start ahead of Blackman as I believe there is very little between the two and I’d rather develop our own and with us chasing Gunn on loan at the start of the season I do believe Bielsa also wanted better.

But the season is well under way, we have who we have and we have to get behind him, we can’t destroy his confidence and it would/could be a disaster if the fans got on his back
