Really sad to hear Saxon Warrior retired. Would have probably won on Saturday and I was convinced would have won signing off for season at Ascot on champions day back down to a mile.

Morning, team. Limini did it nicely for the dear old regular readers, God bless them and save them, on Saturday but the next question must be what, I say what, will connections (never heard of her trainer but the owner is the heir to the biscuit tin fortue, Rich Richtea) do next with the old girl??? Her next 2 entries are a Group 3 at Naas at the end of the month (which may cut up and not take much winning ) and the £250,000 Cesarewitch (14’s available). However, the race which really appeals to me, re her, is Ascot’s ‘Long Distance Cup’ on ‘British Champons Day’. 40/1 is available and Limini would arrive at the meet fresh compared to most of her rivals for whom it would be an after-thought following a battle hardened campaign. Will be keeping a close eye on her possibly running in this event, pilgrims. Of course by the end of the term Limini could join that very exclusive list of fillies/mares who have won both at Graded level, in the NH sphere, and at group level on the Flat. What, what, what, what ,what?!?

Nothing for me today but that card at Worcester looks above average.

Wouldn’t have took much winning either as, at the moment, that Ascot race looks incredibly weak for a £1.1 million race.

There's a very nice "lovely name for a horse" first-and-last-race double to be had at Worcester today:

    2.20 Gnarly
    4.50 Auld Sod

I see Buzz lightyear is out at Brighton and from 9s to 6s in the betting shows some confidence for the new stable.

Excellent shout re Limini old boy <ok>

I wonder what they are planning with her over timber this winter? Mr Richtea looks short of a top class 2-miler, so might Limini be his one for the Champion Hurdle? She won the mares novice Hurdle at the festival a couple of years ago but was somewhat disappointing in the 2017 David Nicholson Mares Hurdle when only 3rd. However she does seem in fine fettle right now on the flat so perhaps make hay while the sun shines on the flat and then keep her back for the spring NH festivals?

Given the owner’s liking for the race would I be mad in suggesting a possible swansong in the 2019 Melbourne Cup?!?

To be honest unless they think she is genuine Grade 1 class (and I’m talking about the real top, top, top races) why risk her over the sticks given what Limini has now proved she can do on the Flat. Or they may opt for the old breeding sheds at the end of the term – especially if they win a Group race on the Flat before then.

Yes Melbourne could be an option - I think the old girl would struggle at the very top table over hurdles and I assume she wouöd get a sex allowance in the Melbourne Cup.

Lunch time - let's see what the canteen have dreamt up today <ok>

Chicken salad baguette. A packet of McCoys crisps (which I pinched from his lunchbox when he wasn’t looking. I bet he reports me to JP) and a banana. 6/10.

I see that the Lieutenant’s Cultivator who runs this afternoon at Worcester (2.50) is off to the sales on Wednesday. Will this make him run faster or slower?!? You pays your money and you takles your pick, people.

    hi fellas!

    hexham,2 00:

not too strong a contest here,so NEW LIST is a rather tentative choice,in the hope, that his shrewd yard has him ready for today, even though he hasnt shown much so far.but ellison is a dab hand in these races,so surely not without a chance today..

    worcester,2 20:

quite a big field, but also not too strong on fresh form.well, that cant be said of last weeks scorer BERMEO,who did it well here, and can race off the same low mark today.so,could well back up his win today..

not much between the three main contenders,as they all have shown some ability so far,but KAATSKILL NAP could havee a slight experience edge over his two rivals, and his last form has worked out really well, with the winner franking the form since.so,could be useful..

Well done NDS, great looking L31. Difficult getting 1 winner let alone 5. Certainly now not like your first selection :)

Oddy, I reckon if it was to a £1 stake and settled at SP then there wouldn't be much change out of £500. However could be a lot more if early odds and BOG are taken into account. Also don't you get Bonuses with these types of bets too?

Two rule 4s with 20p in the pound didn't help.
Paid 568 and then take the rule fours off and it came to 518
The acca only lost £26 deductions, so all in all them rule 4s cost me £76.

However for once profit is profit.
