I just posted on another thread about him in that he hasn't even been placed in the first team squad profiles on the OS, he's on the Professionals section at the moment. He may have the talent to make it to the top but at the moment I just can't understand why we've loaned him in unless there's an option to buy... Weird one.

Cheers for the article, there was me thinking he was backup for Lennon and not a very good one at that, having failed at Bari.

"he helped the country to the Euro Under-17 title in 2007"
I watched pretty much the whole of that tournament but I don't really remember him. I remember Merida being fairly unimpressive, although he did score a good goal and also Bojan absolutely running the show. After the tournament I said Bojan would be better than Messi <doh>

To be fair I also said Welbeck and Rose were our best players, some of Rose's crossing was excellent in the tournament.

To be fair Bojan hasn't lived up to the his early hype. Not that I'd have said he could have matched or bettered Messi when he was older, but his record at youth level (remember reading he scored over 900 goals in the youth teams) suggested he'd become one of the worlds best in time to come. Now granted he had to contest with the likes of Henry, Eto'o, Ibrahimavic and Villa during his time at Barca so it couldn't have been easy to get game time, but even so I would have thought he'd become a house hold name by now. Still got time to improve don't get me wrong from what I've seen he's looked good, but not great.

I remember one time, for anyone who plays Football Manager, that there was a guy called Evandro Roncatto who came second in the player of tournament awards in an U-17 tournament (Fabregas being the winner of the award) and he was absolutely amazing on the game, pretty much became the best left winger in the world, yet in real life, the last time I looked he was playing for some mid-table Greek team.

Amazing how players with such promise can turn out to be no more than an average joe in football terms.

Mabizela was amazing on Championship Manager and Braathen I remember being a bit of a sensation, so I was very disappointed upon seeing him in real life.

So how do we pronounce Falque, is the 'l' silent so it's like 'Fackyoo'?

The thing about our Professionals/Reserves page is a few of them have already played for us this season - Townsend, Kane, Carroll, Nicholson and Fredricks against Hearts - whilst Bentley and Jenas are on our first team page, and quite simply won't be playing for us at all this season.
