Tbph out of all the games we've played this season Spurs have been the worst team. That's not banter etc. That is the truth. Appalling. We were average and could have won 5-1. On our day that would have been a mauling. Jimmy Milner - what a player for his age. Incredible really. VVD - easy day for him...but 100% best CB in the PL.
Only saw second half. I understand Vorm was at fault for the first goal. Kane looks dead on his feet, Dier was just that, stupid mistake led to the second goal. We lacked any real cutting edge and the final ball was inevitably ****e. Pool looked far more dangerous going forward.
Love playing first and getting the win... Now I can sit back and hope other top 4 teams **** up. I say top 4 because I think Arsenal and Spurs have dropped out. Was a top 6. Back to a top 4 now imo.
We were in second gear. We would have destroyed you if we were on our A game. You were the poorest team we've played all seaaon, that must be a worry?
We were in 2nd gear today, we'd have absolutely smashed a **** side(which was what Spurs were today)5-0 if we were firing on all cylinders, the early goal was legit and if Salah and Mane weren't looking for personal glory they'd have set their teammates up to bang in a few more. You reckon Spurs can play better but you think that was the best we're capable of.
That’s utter bollocks. We were poor, error strewn, with too many players looking dead on their feet or out of form. Had we had a decent cutting edge we could have rattled you more than once.
I think that just confirms what we all knew that Liverpool are quite far ahead of the spuds now. It's #spiral time.
We were poor, far too many errors - giving the ball away, which we did before the first goal. You’re a good side, but given the money you’ve spent you should be.
He still is, imo. But he needs that Plan B from time to time. Almost as much as he needs a chairman prepared to continue investing in his squad.
It is. You could see the lack of energy compared to our normal levels. We didn’t press them as we normally would have. Kane, especially, looks like he needs a good rest. But, of course, we don’t have a decent replacement.
So, us spending big is the new excuse, we regularly battered Spurs at the Lane without spending big and ditto at Anfield, like aren't we entitled to strengthen our squad's weakest positions just like Spurs or other clubs. Our club have squandered big money at times during the PL era and been ridiculed for it, now that the money seems well spent it's somehow become too much of a problem for opposing fans to deal with.
