No they were done for murder and let out under the GFA. I have no problem with that. It was being courted by the Army who always claimed neutrality that irked. Sort of dis proved that.

Maybe it would be quite cool to be a conspiracy nut. You could randomly go home from work claiming you were being watched by spies. Or even go on the run for a week and get a break from the Mrs and kids.

I'm going to buy a wig, fake 'tache and a XXXL burka.

There is obviously something wrong. I never claimed we were all angels and some Regiments have their own views and ways but I can tel you in all honestly I have never met a soldier who thought the army taking them back was acceptable. Even people who perhaps sympathised with them doubtless thought they gave all of us a bad name. All I can say on the matter is that me and the guys I served with did our best in a very difficult situation. No one forced us to go there but we joined up to do our jobs to the best of our ability and I believe we did. We had a few screwballs (one Scottish guy in my Regiment went Tonto and shot one of my mates in the armoury inside the Maze) but these were usually spotted before being deployed although some slipped through the net.

I don't expect many people will accept or believe it but the vast majority of soldiers who served in NI were ordinary guys doing a job with no prejudice against either side of the conflict.

Dev, there has been 1500 people thrown out of the British Army for testing for drugs but the guys who killed wee Peter, shot him in the back, were then put on to the promotion ladder? that doesn't stack up. That bastard Mike Jackson was involved in their elevation no less. Stinks to the high heavens. 'Few joints - Bad. Dead Paddy - OK. That's all I can take from it.

So let's get this straight, the Americans, aided by the Jews, blew up the WTC so they could start a war in famously-unconquerable Afghanistan, which has no major natural resources, and is now costing them billions to occupy. You can imagine the meeting where the lizard people pitched their cost-benefit analysis on this one!

The day after they installed Karzai in Afganistan, he signed the approval of the oil pipeline construction from the caspian sea, through Afganistan, the same pipline that the taliban would not allow when they had control of the country.

Almost forgot the small fact of 93% of the worlds poppy fields, the same fields that taliban had been trying to eradicate <ok>

Just incase you are wondering why Afganistan, with regards to the oil pipeline, just look at a map, it was to restrict and control the flow of oil to China.
