Perhaps Eco are just trying to make amend of their mistake. Difficult to admit they made a mistake.
They are the same person, nobody said the local paper had to employ people who come up to your standards.

Chronicle Live report Liverpool are hoping to sign Sunderland’s 15-year-old midfielder Luca Stephenson – but for considerably less than the £500,000 fee reported.
