Just you wait..... i'll save this one for a I told you so... FFS lads i hate posting them but i seem to have to do this a lot.
I still think we need clarification on this:

I still think we need clarification on this:

so you are actually interested in what I actually am saying?

uber cool.

what i am saying exactly is as follows:

1. the guy is a decent player. no question.

2. He looks like he can read the game well enough and passes it nicely.

3.but.... if he gets caught out of the no 6 role he is going to struggle to get back into position against the type of midfielders and half forwards the prem has. if they get goal side of him he is out of the game.

as I said if the game is in front of him he will do fine... it's on the transition where the problem lies.

Not sure about this bit. If he did read the game well he wouldn't do so many back passes especially as we are super fast going forward. Granted every offense isn't a fast break and he does need to hold play up at times but he rarely makes a forward pass these days. I'd like to see him score as well. Gerrard managed it <whistle>
Hendo's position on the pitch is an unglamorous one, but vitally important to us. A recent example was v C.Palace when he came on and just did the
simple things. Receiving, one or two touches and releasing. Always in the right place. When we are being counter attacked in games, it is so often
Hendo that reads the game and gets a foot in, or pushes a player wide or backwards. ( mates that watch games with me get sick of me pointing out
that Hendo breaks up yet another counter) <laugh>. The 'forward pass' thing is urban myth, he often does. And I was pleasantly surprised to read he has
scored 24 goals during his time with us..........that's pretty good for a deep lying midfielder.
