    From Mauricio Pochettino on the use of the ground in Milton Keynes for the cup tie against Watford...

    "You cannot make all the people happy, Maybe some complain and create a big noise. But we need to make a decision that is best for the team. The circumstances are so difficult. Our idea was for the stadium to be done but it's impossible. We cannot change the situation with Wembley. We are more disappointed than everyone.

    For our fans it's important to try to understand the circumstances of the club. What can we do? It's not ready the stadium. Okay, maybe I can go and help the builders to do it. But it's impossible to do more. We need to be patient and understand that the club is doing every it can to finish the stadium and have everything ready to compete there. It's easy today to complain, it's easy to agree or disagree. But for our board and our chairman, it's so complicated.

    It's easy to complain. The most difficult is to be patient and work hard to sort the problems and fix the problems that are created by a stadium that is still not ready to compete."

    For one, I'm totally behind whatever we need to do, in the short term, whilst our new home is completed. As a supporter of the club and team and particularly, in this instance, this manager, I'm prepared to schlep anywhere to cheer us on. If we were drawn away at that stadium would people be upset? Would they refuse to go?

    The team are giving us their all and MP turned down Real Madrid to lead them and us, so a bit of forbearance from us isn't too much for him to ask. It is only one match, after all. I hope we pack the place out and will go to the game, if tickets are available to members, Let's just make sure we win. COYS!

  3. The THST 'Board' - all 9 of them - have made tits of themselves by publicly stating they will boycott the game if played at MK 'on principle' in support of their friends at AFC Wimbledon'.........

    The only boycott appears to be the droves of THST members telling the board on Twitter that they won't be renewing membership of the THST!! <laugh>

    I'm not surprised. With fans like like that, who needs Chelsea or The Gooners? We're in a ****ing hole at the moment and don't need fans, who supposedly represent us all, pulling a stunt like this.

    I get fans who aren't going because of logistical problems. I get fans being upset with rising ticket price and having to restrict the number of games you go to (I'm one of them). I get people being upset with this summer's transfer failure but saying you're not going to go and support the team for this reason is just not on.

    Mauricio Pochettino shouldn't be made to feel that he needs to make those comments. We need to fill that stadium now.

    I wonder if that's as much as it looks? Doesn't even look like you'd have to stand up to let people pass.

    It looks like my knees won't implode during a match, which is a vast improvement on the seating at WHL...

    Used to be a member of THST but they seem so up themselves it's unreal...like they are the only true fans.

    If I could get home I'd go but getting to Milton Keynes after work at 5pm from Woolwich and back after will be near impossible but am still looking into it.

    I do not like MK Dons due to them moving but to call for a boycott is moronic in the extreme.

    Like you, I've got to come from and get 'south of the river' (Oooh errrr, Missus) after a game. However, this issue has really pissed me off and I'm obstinately intent on going, despite the potential difficulty of getting there and back. If MP has asked us to show up, what choice do we have?

    I've spoken to a fan of Millwall who goes away a lot and he said that the quickest way to get their by train isn't actually that bad.
    Euston to Milton Keynes, change and go one stop to Fenny and then a bit of a walk to the stadium.
    No idea how accurate it is, but a bit of browsing online suggests that he's right.

    I've got dreadful tinnitus, I rarely get to sleep before 2 am and don't usually sleep more than 5 or so hours unless I take sleeping tablets. Thankfully, I don't work for anyone who cares what I look like in the morning or when I fall asleep in the afternoon.

    Euston > Bletchley is closer but I think that train will stop at a lot of stops on the way.

    Only 30 mins stop to stop

    How are they planning on reproducing the danger of falling a row (or 2) down when you're celebrating a goal though?

    I haven't seen any recent updates on the stadium's progress. Any reasons for this?

    A week's worth of announcing fixture rearrangements is a pretty good reason for this, because after announcing the Barca, Cardiff and Sheikh Mansour Team games will be switched to Wembley it wouldn't be tactful to then say "And by the way, here's some photos of our new stadium."

    It's worth pointing out that Chris Cowling's keeping up the good work

    From a quick dip into Skyscraper City, the following are happening:

    • 5 grow light rigs have been assembled on the pitch and there have been practice runs at stowing them beneath the North Stand. As yet, they are sans lumieres;
    • the glass/polycarbonate roof is being connected to the aluminium roof cassettes, making the East Sand roof watertight;
    • there's been a cement pour on the walkway south of the South Podium;
    • lots more seats in the East Stand;
    • fitting out the press box has started;
    • tests have been run on the floodlights, jumbo and tickertape screens;
    • Citeh have continued to bitch and moan about nothing.
