I think most of us want a 4-4-2 but an intresting comment from a gooner about Bendy..

If we had continued playing 4-4-1-1 with RVP in the Bergy role and Bendyboy up front he would now be a superstar. Our style of play, and his being forced onto the wings have not helped him at all, or us for that matter!!!

Maybe it waont be 4-4-2

I think Gyan will play a more withdrawn role. Gyan might thrive on not having the pressure of being our main goalscorer!!

From what I have seen of him, he has a little bit of pace as well so for me it wont be a static 4-4-2

Larsson-Mid-Mid-Sess
Gyan-Bendtner

When sess has the ball, he will play more off Gyan, so sess can thread balls into him and Gyan will be the striker if you will
When larsson has the ball, he will be in front of Gyan, so he can get any Headers which he will either power into the net, or knock down for Gyan or our Midfield.

But i am not the manager so god knows lol

convinced me Steve

I imagine he will score a lot of goals with Larsson on the wing, he is a great header of the ball. Bendy usually performed well as a lone striker for us but I imagine he would be better if he was partnered with a quick player like Gyan.

Robin having watched a lot of Arsenal, (we don't have much option your lot being one of the Sky preferred few. :p) quite a few times when watching Bendtner he looked very frustrated, with a lot of head shaking when he was making runs and the ball never came. I'm hoping we can play more to his strengths and get the ball to him in a couple of passes rather than 20+.

Forget "set" formations. To me a line up of...

MIG

O'Shea - Turner/Bramble - Brown - Bardo

Larrson - Gardner - Catts/Meyler - Sess

Bendtner - Gyan

Could within seconds turn into...

The reason he looked frustrated a lot was because he was played as a winger <doh>. Thats like having Drogba delivering in all the crosses for Chelsea. Occasionally he was decent there though.

Hopefully if he is played up front with Gyan he can relax and play footy.
As long as we don't just start lumping the ball in his general direction and expect him to chase it.
Apart from Sess we don't have the ball carriers that Arsenal have, so here's hoping a couple of passes and we put the ball onto his head or toe.
