I know people that have used it and it's very hit and miss. Seen some fairly good snides but also seen some absolute horrors. Things like a smaller tick etc.

I think you just have to check the sellers rep. The ones that people are buying from regularly tend to have decent clobber.

I've had a couple of pairs of 90's from there before and I couldn't tell the difference between them and the OG's. Although they can tend to come up a bit small and tight. (Think it's that chinese small dick syndrome again)

I've got some Garmont gore-tex shoes for cycling, but yeah I tend to wear my kicks for everything else and wear them out in a few months.

Air max 90's last me a good 12 months though <ok>

Gonna get these for gym/run/rare cycle.

Inov8 are the bomb for this type of gear.

Yeah great shoes Inov8. I'd definitely go for a pair of gore-tex though if you're going running or cycling in them. Either that or you can get sealskinz socks that are waterproof.

I use both on the bike <ok>

Sweaty feet but worth it, yeah.

Got a gtx pair of Salomon equivalent and a non gtx, which leak like a sieve. Love the old ones but they're knackered now.

Wore the non waterproof last Monday on a coast walk and finally accepted they ****ing kill my feet so they've been reduced to gardening. They're also black, I'm not a fan of all black trainers.

The inov's will replace them. Will probably upgrade to gtx now you mention it.

You can usually tell snides by the stitching. I'd rather just shop for cheaper trainers. You can get the balenciaga ones for £40 on cheetham hill, now there's dossers everywhere wearing '£600' trainers with a pair of Nike TN shell bottoms. Ffs.

I'll try and dig out a link for you. Not a dodgy one. But a German outdoor company. They sell Garmont, Inov8, North Face, Rab, Marmot stuff loads cheaper than UK stores.

Tbh I'd rather just buy straight from Nike than take the risk.

I never buy from shops unless I'm buying anything other than Nike. Their website is brilliant and they always have some excellent trainers in the sale.

Also buying direct means you're not walking round in a pair every ****er has!

For example the Pegasus 89s I bought earlier were only £58 - in the shops etc. They're £75 and I haven't seen the elemental colour before.

Most 90's are £100+ though. £28 from that snide site. And I cannot tell the difference.

I'd never buy snide either mate, what the **** is wrong with you?!?!

Too right. Even if they look alright knowing they're snide is just a massive NO.

It's like wearing a stone island jacket that cost £50. I'd feel like a right pikey.

Don't see the problem tbh. As mentioned loads of that gear is made in the same factories anyway. So essentially you're just lining the pockets of the shareholders of the big companies, rather than paying some dude to sneak a few pairs out and sell them himself at 1/4 of the price.

Comfiest trainers I ever owned were adidas micropacer circa 2005. They just hit the sweet spot. Wouldn't be seen dead in a pair today mind.

I went for some Pegasus 89s as I've got various badass bright white Nikes that will get ruined as the weather gets bad. I'm a bit of a trainer addict, got far too many pairs.

Got these for a change..

Turn ups are for women.

I'd rather spend the extra on something else and still have a decent pair of kicks <ok>

Out of interest what's the sizing like... for example if I'm an 8 what should I get...

Asking for a friend <whistle>
