Think R2 might have some legs but not for the reasons of being skint. Radz is extending his Eleven sports business, If he manages to get some sort of PL package would that stop him from owning us if we got promoted (like Sky & the scum many years back)??
I signed up for a weeks trial of the eleven plus thing so I could watch the golf a couple of weeks back. To be honest, their lineup is less interesting than Eurosport and need to attract some major events to even justify the fifty or sixty quid a year. Sky have a stranglehold on most of the good stuff and will take some ball of money for anyone else to make any impact
You're right, I just meant Sky are being forced to sell packages for fairness of competition. Maybe Radz thinks he can bag one or two of those (I don't know). What I was asking was IF he does / can does it affect him being able to own Leeds?

As regards rumour #1 I did hear the same after the Las Palmas game but in the version told to me Radz said the same to many people in the room.
Am I worried or is it significant? Hard to tell what was meant really. Even/If Radz says "investment" he could mean the club or he could mean the infrastructure plans he has. Different projects with different funding models.
Logic tells me he knows, or has contact to, all these folk and any serious business wouldn't be initiated when "glad handing" before a game.
I'm sure Radz has funding for the club sorted but he might seek partners for larger infrastructure projects so I don't dismiss these rumours.
As for rumour #2 that has been doing the rounds for some time but I thought it had been put to bed as not true. A lot of these rumours can have some truth on one side and be put into the public domain by the other side to try and get some traction... much like agents and transfer rumours. I've no indication Radz is ready to sell up or dilute his shareholding yet. In a year or two without promotion I think he will do a GFH and get a big partner to help him.

Didnt Rad say himself early on, hed give himself four years or something like that to get promotion or hed walk away. That would tie in with what Mike Thornton. To be honest, if were not promoted by then we might be better letting someone else have a crack. I think well get up before that though

Agree with that and as Thornton says he will have no end of punters now wanting to inve. No debts own ground...... he wasted year e ut so far year 2 looking good and hes also said success means play offs this season at least. The stupid thing is that hes doing it so far on half the layout of last season. Quality over quantity.
He has cash coming in from transfers in part payments so Woods money for example is tranche 2 of 3 or even 4 payments, but he is also paying fees spread over the same/similar periods a moving feast
Wasn’t it reported somewhere that the deal with the 49rs saw their shares increase each year if we failed to get promoted?
Well they have two advantages over most of the Arabs we've been linked with in the last decade ;
1/ they exist
2/ they probably have the money
