Oi Oi fellow whites. I posted this remark in another thread earlier:

"I gotta be honest-i haven't seen one person on here calling for grayson's head-I've seen plenty of speculation from lots of posters that he will lose his job, but no one saying (barring the usual 2-3 suspects) that he should be sacked. What alot of people are saying is that he is weak, boring, spouts the usual monotone, prepared, templated answers in interviews and doesn't seem to come across as well as he could/would like.

I was neither in the optimistic or pessimistic camp-I felt things could be worse, but they weren't getting better. However after yesterday, I dont think there is 2 sides to the discussion anymore, just the truth, which is that 1. The above description of Grayson is true, no argument. Yes I believe he cares and that he is far from a bad manager given his age and experience, but for me his main downfall is his inabilty to change things during games with his wait and see method of management, and that is not Bates fault at all. I for 1 also mute Larry when he is giving interviews on the tv as he says the same thing again and again, and if it wasn't true the 1st 10 times, it wont be true on the 11th. and 2. Bates is possibly the worst thing to happen to Leeds in a long time.

What I will say is that people have been speaking of action for a while, but nothing has been done, but it appears that from what I am reading on here and other sites etc, that the Gradel sale has united Leeds fans that wanted to take action and given strength to the cause in that alot of fans who were talking but no action are now considering joinin in protest. Nothin may come of it, but I have a sneaky suspicion that the Gradel sale has brought the situation to a head, and now all it will take is a spark to ignite everything, and we all kno Bates likes playing with fire..."

And since then I have been thinking-how many of you on here would be willing to take action? and has any1 actually been active in organising any sort of protest/demonstration? Some might say action like that would harm the club, or is too extreme to have enough people get involved. I'm starting to think though that when looking at our adversary in Ken Bates, perhaps extreme is what we should be trying-lord knows Bates wouldn't pay attention to anything less. And as for harming the club, well yes it would hurt the club but we would be being cruel to be kind in the long run. Unfortunately, for any kind of action to be effective, we would need enough Leeds fans to get involved, and unfortunately I cant see that happening, which in an ironic twist, is down to our fans superb loyalty!

You been on holiday or something? There was a sizeable protest at the Middlesbrough game, which was well covered in the local and national media, as well as Ken Bates' ensuing comments about protesters being 'morons'. There's another protest in line for the Crystal Palace game: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=145433578880512

I saw that Leeds-18, but the numbers weren't enough in my view, and all I saw in the media was a couple of paragraphs on the bbc football website, which was then followed up by another couple of sentences on the same site covering Bates response. I suppose it was a start-cheers for the link, I think I might make the trip to ER after all next saturday...

It was a front-page feature story in the Football League Paper and was covered by a few national papers online and shown on BBC Look North and ITV Calendar. In fairness, it probably wasn't on down in MK!

lol-im glad some1 else knows of the MK Citizen! I usually take a quick look at local sports (sunday league results etc) but it gets recycled straight away(gotta make sure u use the right coloured bag for that!)

Billyboy ur spot on-but thats what i'm trying to gauge-how many are prepared to do that? I would gladly join the fight against Bates pro-actively (not going to games, buying ,merchandise etc) if I felt enough others would do the same. Otherwise i'd be one of a few that would cutting off their nose to spite their face! I'd be missing out on following Leeds, whilst Bates would still be raking it in!

The only form of protest that will make Bates sit up and take notice, is to not attend the scum match. Season ticket holders cannot be expected to stay away from home games, as it's money down the drain, but I know many who are sending their tickets back.

We can all see the match on telly and why should we make bates any more cash from us. By not attending a match in a cup we have no chance of winning, would show the Sky viewers just how much the fans detest Bates. Imagine more scum fans than our own, a great protest and lets see him come out and call us morons again

Uninformed Leeds fans and Yorkshire-based scum fans would snap the tickets up on general sale. Pointless idea in my opinion; Bates will get just as much money and the ground will be full of less passionate fans.
