It's a tricky one for sure......a lot of unknowns like will he score (even will he play much?), his wages for those three months will be a wedge too.....and will anyone want to buy him? And of he DOES score well, you may well want to keep him for the rest of the season…..and gamble he'll help get you back up first time. He's probably the trickiest of your transfer dealings.
" Idiots " eh ? Multi millionaires ; successful businessmen, etc. If that's what makes an idiot, I'd welcome some. Guess who the real idiot is ? If the owners want to asset strip, then that's their business, and not yours. Were you to have a garage sale of all your possessions, would anyone protest about it ?
Are these your same successful businessmen that lost £10 Million in Clueless? Need I continue with more of their successes? As for the real Idiot, well you seem to fit the bill perfectly, with your stupid reasoning, only you would equate a garage sale with the gross incompetence of the running of the City’s football club.............
Indeed, I agree with you it's a tricky one, but having sold the entire team, flush with the proceeds which way would you gamble given the posibilities? I know what I would do, and that is to see how he would perform up to January, worth the punt on his wages, remember also he would have been covered by insurance all the time he was injured, and that would include his wages also, unless of course our boardroom idiots didn't insure him, which would not surprise me.
I agree that we need to see him have a run out, at this level he could well be prolific again, but reports are coming in that we want to offload him in the next 24 hours!!! And guess what, for a poultry £1.5 to £2 Million, this would mean the club taking another staggering financilal loss, nothing surprises me anymore with those that run our football club, yes it's our football club Vetch dear! .....
A few questions for you ,what exactly is your presence on this board for ? is it because you love the Club ?, support the team ?, have a shared interest with all things SCFC ,You seemed to have failed to grasp the very simple concept of what a supporter of a football club does and how he feels about his/her Club . I think you should consider changing your user name to Librarian, probably much more apt because the one you use is so far off considering your disdain for other posters . One more question I didn't notice your absence but remind me , just why did you stop posting on here ?
I have to say that Vetch's stance and reasoning is strange considering the way the boardroom scum are rincing OUR club.........
I don't think many on here give a toss about how wealthy or successful they are . What we care about is what happens to the football club. We were promised the club would be taken to the next level and in fairness they have done this by allowing us to be relegated. Can you enlighten me as to what investment they have made in player transfers, which as supporters is all we care about. So far I have seen sod all. We know financially we can do nothing but as passionate supporters we feel we have been sold down the river by Jenkins & Co . That doesn't mean we can't voice our opinion on what has happened or what we would like to see happen. just like every other football supporter in the land because the last time I looked we were still a free country. At this time the last thing we need is idiotic piss taking.
He calls himself 'liberal' yet he's often the most enthusiastic about censoring the opinions of others, which is not really liberal is it .I await yet another pithy response
Everyone can have their own opinion but the Americans never got us relegated the high waged players and inept past managers did and you know that with the comments on here that we should have a mass clear out.....It is no good throwing your toys out of the perambulator now they are doing exactly what fans wanted and to be fair we are not doing to bad with a completely new team and manager and any sensible fan knows how hard that is and will take time....
I'm surprised with you David that you meekly accept and condone failure. We were in the Premiership when the yanks took over. There again you can't be arsed going down The Liberty any more so your enthusiasm in supporting the Club appears to be waivering. Your new hobby seems to be wumming Swansea City fans who actually go to matches and support the team. Pathetic really.
I merely point out the reality of the situation. If you, and others, are incapable of understanding your role as supporters, i.e., CUSTOMERS, then that's your problem and not mine. If you don't like reading my posts put me on ignore. TLF allegedly did that, when he referred to me as " it ", but I see he has liked your post, so I guess he was lying when " it " said he had me on ignore. You seem to think that everyone has to sing off the same song sheet. Well, I don't have a copy of it. I use my intelligence to work things out. Keep on taking the tablets.
Are you suggesting that I have ever prevented you, or anyone else, from voicing an opinion ? If so, perhaps you could reproduce the posts wherein I did that.
I'm not sure who this post is aimed at, so if you specify your target, you may well end up getting a " pithy response ".
So pleased to have you educate us all on here Vetch dear, and for free too, very impressive indeed.......
