I thought McClaren preferred set up, to the extent he seems to have a set up, is 4 2 3 1.

With us this season, yes, he has played 4-2-3-1. Perhaps based on available players.

Historically, I understand his ideal “vision” of football is 4-3-3.

I expect to see 4-2-3-1 at the start and then possibly two up front later in the gane.

Maybe Chair deserves a start soon instead of Luongo who looks like he's still jetlagged.

A very good observation. However, I believe that Cousins would probably be the first choice alternative.

I would not be too surprised if Luongo was “rested” from the starting eleven today.

Crunch day imo
Hoping for a win of course
Doubtful I can take to SM at mo
Club, Manager and Players owe us big time

Mad League I am going for a 6-1 win to us of course... I still want a Qpr man in charge that won’t change for me

If it was down to me I'd have gone for the manager of today's opposition to be in charge of us. We'll see who comes out on top around 4.45.

Greetings from a very warm gran canaria where the sun is splitting the rocks the sea is blue and I'm away from all the doom and gloom....

He had a 45 mins run out on 10th August. On his way back from his injury I would imagine by now.
I believe he got injured again directly after that.
That poor kid is jinxed....

There’s a lot in what you say there Nines, he is just the type of man we could do with. He cut his teeth managing my local side here, Sligo Rovers, and has two, I think, promotions under his belt in the last couple of years.

QPR boss Steve McClaren hands debuts to Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells to face Wigan Athletic this afternoon with the duo replacing Conor Washington and Pawel Wszolek.

Joel Lynch replaces Alex Baptiste following his head injury whilst there is also a change in goal as Joe Lumley replaces Matt Ingram.

I get some sort of alert announcing line ups, click on which then takes me to the Match Centre on the App. Then click on lineups which informs me that they are not announced yet!

Lumley in is all I saw.

No natural wide men in that 11, unless Freeman is doing that. No Smyth or Sylla on the bench either which supports reports of them going out on loan.

Few different possibilities of line-up there - straight 4-4-2 with Freeman and Eze out wide, 4-3-3 Eze up front with new boys, or 4-1-3-2 with Scowen or Luongo in front of defence. Ingrams confidence looks shot, and dropping him is the right call from SM.

Fair play to SM, putting both new strikers in, plus Lumley in goal.
Looks like 4-3-3 to me.
Come on URssss!

Let's go Brazil cerca 1998 and try 4222 with Eze and Freeman just off our loan front line. We just need Rangel and Birdwell to be our Cafu and Roberto Carlos flying fullbacks/wingers.

In reality, that's probably our strongest 11 if we are going to be fairly compact (ie no width).

Good luck Lumley - a real chance to stake a claim to the number 1 spot.

If this is correct, I’m at a loss. Smyth puts in some great performances but has one bad game under Steve and is shipped out, along with Manning. Yet we keep Conor.
