not a very good song but like a lot of hip hop and modern music today it just sounds like talking to me.

I'm sure if Nige has the balls he could adapt the lyrics as necessary and sing this in his next meeting with Enob:

But he musn't change the line about having a face like an elephant's ****, which is most observant.

The reason Peter Green was so inspired on Need Your Love So Bad was B B King came into the studio in Belgium where they were recording it. They did various versions but it was BB saying release the version with strings on it which made them decide to release this version. Shame they shortened it for the single and faded it out through the solo. B B King first saw Peter Green as a 19 year old with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and said he was the only guitarist who gave him the cold sweats. He also said that that Green had more talent in his little finger than he had in his whole body. Nice but untrue and Peter Gteen would be tbe first to say so.

Aye. Was lucky enough to see Clapton, PG & Mick Taylor all play with Mayall et al live over the period '65-'67. All in Leeds @ the student union Sat night gigs. Last saw Mayall about 9-10 years ago in a club here in Toronto. Still marvelous at his craft. Graham Bond Organization, Johnny Kidd, Yardbirds, Beck & Stewart, Traffic plus many more over the same period. It was music heaven to say the least.
I seem to recall when Mayall was asked how much they would miss Clapton as he left the band, he said "Wait 'till you hear Pete Green and ask me again. He's brilliant ".
I'd say that makes 2 quality judgements from highly respected musicians. Very gracious of B B King.
