I went, I'm a R and stuck it out to the end....and clapped the players as they tried...
We were okay in first half...and should have been 2 up before they scored. Ingrams was at fault
In second half we should have again scored but Conor could not find Eze quick enough and Smith did not get a penalty for a blatant two handed clear push in the back ( when you are down there is no luck,)...that is the positives....but when we went 1 down we completely disintegrated. The game plan went out the window.
We had started by playing balls into Conor to run into but when we went ,1-0 down .we start playing long balls and brought Smith on but took of Wszolek..we run around like headless chickens from than on..
Lots of effort but no confidence and no plan.
I am really sure the players were not sure what plan B was...unlike Ollie's team that played to the end with the aim of scoring somehow....there was not the belief tonight.
Where was Steve...no idea...he was not on the touchline shouting...
The players obviously don't believe in him
Can we afford to sack him...don't think so
Will he walk no I am sure.
It will be a long hard season. It will be a miracle if we are in the Championship this time next year..
And I am the optimistic one on this board
