Yesterday my daughter had some friends over and they were busy doing stuff in the kitchen when a bird flew into the window and died. We boxed up the bird (I buried it today), the girls were all a bit girly about it, sad that it had died but found the dead body a bit gruesome. My missus then served them up their lunch. Chicken.
I've never taken to the taste of sausage, salami etc. There's a few Halal deli places around here. Problem is they don't seem to expand as businesses, much it seems. I mean they sell sarnies and Jacket potatoes and not much else.
Imo it's because they are not made properly for the halal market. So sausages are just fatty and awful I make my own stuff now and again and trust me with quality ingredients it's all that and more Don't know about the delis you speak of but the ones I have seen in Bradford, brum etc they are not what I mean. I mean proper Jewish and Italian style ones you find in america
I just think they lack a bit of thought. Very simple. I want to walk into a Deli and think I've got alot of choices. They don't even offer 1 foot sandwiches like Subways. So much to infuse. It's like the Ice-cream parlours...they have improved alot. Now the Asians needs to put some thought into Delis

Yup...exactly what the issue is. I find that Asian men lack creativity at times. They just want money coming in and no speculating to accumulate and going a bit outside the box. I don't have the financial luxury of starting such a business but I've got the thinking to come up with some great ideas.
