One game does never a full season make
But one point is better then none,
Me, I still consider it a mistake
That Farke´s reign had ever begun

But against the odds he ´s residing still
As Summer wends its way to Fall,
So although it remains a bitter pill
To swallow, we´re back ´on the ball´

How things will pan out god alone only knows
As this League keeps proving each year,
We´ll need more than just a few lucky throws
Of the dice, if we hope to spread fear

I remain dubious in the extreme
That the key to success has been found,
Another mid-table finish for the team
Seems to me, the way we are bound

But I´ll be following events from afar
As this season grinds under way,
And Josh´s, Jacob´s and Madisson´s star
Without whom, we hope it will pay.

Good to see you sir, I hope you are well. I am still optimistic that we have the right management team in place but I respect your view, time will tell which of us is right.

Morning Dave, dare I say that I´m perhaps leading on points at the moment, in that respect :) , as I saw no signs whatever, of improvement, during the whole of last season, and by that I mean a consistent run of unbeaten results and/or a consistent climb up the table. If this one doesn´t show a marked improvement, both performance-wise and results-wise well before Christmas, he´s going to have to go, imo. Not that I´m usually one of the first to call for manager´s heads, but he just seemed entirely the wrong appointment from day one, to me.

Sacking him could be the making of him.
The previous two we sacked haven't looked back since!

Yep, a very good point Mr. gandy
As a stepping stone we have become very handy

Managers down on their luck or whatever
Might find paying us a visit rather clever

But quite a shame they don´t do it while here
Could it be the local water or the beer.

It suited Lambert just fine and the local beers elsewhere since have definitely not suited him

Bah!

Mmmm ?! - you haven´t convinced me yet Dave <laugh>, looks as if Farke has gone from chalk to cheese, whereas last season he hardly dared put one attack together, this, he´s going crackers at going forward, turning attacking into an art of lunacy, while forgetting to defend. Still I suppose losing 3 - 4 is at least slightly more entertaining than losing 0 - 1 - and you earn the same number of points. :)

It just needs gk and defenders to do their job.

Yep - and you can add strikers to that, just a shame that we invariably only get two out of the three to work at the same time.
I'm sorry RBF, but our strikers and attacking midfield DID do their job today. Even without the penalty save, Rhodes could have had a hat trick.
Despite the defeat, I saw that our tactics have changed since last season and IMO, we are on an upward trajectory

You´re only emphasising my point JM - they may have done their job, but the defence clearly didn´t! To make any serious progress we need all departments to function at the same time, I´m still waiting for that to happen.

Unfortunately, Jamal is a bigger miss than anyone expected and there wasn't a Canaries player (other than Krul) within 25 metres of Brunt when he received the ball and who delivered the cross which resulted in the Baggies 4th goal and that is down to the players and NOT DF IMO. <doh>

True enough JM, players do have to occasionally think for themselves, but as others repeatedly told me, when I used to defend Hughton and Neil, the buck stops with the manager. My aversion to Farke is, that, he was, and still is, too green and inexperienced at this level - give me a Pulis, a Bruce or a Warnock any day. :)

And on that note RBF, well have to SERIOUSLY agree to disagree!!!
If ANY of those 'Three Wise Men' were to come to CR, that would be the day I stop having an ST!!

<laugh> I tell you one thing, they´d get us out of this division if anyone could, which is what most people seem to want - and anyway I thought you had given up your ST.

Excellent post RBF and I'd rather stay in the championship and TRY to build/develop a team capable of staying for more than one season at a time in the PL.
You're quite right and I DID give up my ST last season, but had the offer to have a 'half-share' in one this season. [HASHTAG]#howcouldirefuse[/HASHTAG]

As you can probably guess, I can heartily second that! - just don´t think we´ll do it with this (or even perhaps any) management combination, such are the financial hurdles in football these days.
