Today's bets on Shergar Cup day whilst not a massive fan I think is a good day for racing. Going for it a bit today bettingwise: Ascot 1.05pm Tis Marvellous 7/1 each way. Backed it last week in the Stewards Cup where he put in a no show. I am expecting much better today..Reasonable sized bet. Newmarket 3.45pm La Perosa 7/2. GRACIOUS JOHN 8/1 Ascot 1.05 Lots going for this one. He is a multiple winner in this grade. Has won off this mark in the past. Most crucially however the gods were smiling on him when the jockey draw was made as he pulled Fran Berry who is a four time winner on him. Nearly all the other runners will be complete strangers to todays pilots.
Unfortunately last nights price has gone due to 3 non runners but in the 6.45 Lingfield, SLIPSTREAM wins.
It's not often I get any 'tips' and I'm not sure this counts as it's third hand information, a friend of a friend kind of thing but had a phone call last night and told to pile on a horse called Encore D'Or in the 1:05 Ascot. I see a couple of you fellas have already put up selections for that race and I had already picked out Sir Robert Cheval myself in that one before the call. So i have backed both in singles and have done the reverse forecast too.
