Most likely, although it's not impossible that the Mittals might buy out the consortium now the FFP "fine" is crystallized

If I was the Mittals and was interested in a controlling shareholding, I'd make any offer for shares conditional on the consortium sorting out their mess first

Why would they be interested in owning QPR?

They were interested in the past, and wanted to buy out Eccles and Briatore. They still have a minority shareholding, so they've maintained their interest. Amit Bhatia still retains his enthusiasm for the club

Any fans wanting to join the campaign for a new stadium should email [email protected] for more information on how to get involved.

What does joining the campaign mean?

Exactly what fan base needs to campaign
The brochure states in numerous places this is our last chance in W12 and LR is not sustainable to run the club

How much is the land at LR worth ?
As much as I love it it needs to be pulled down ASAP

When was the last time Amit said anything about the club? I really don’t know. Their interest was before it turned into a financial black hole.
It means the club will generate much needed income by selling your contact details to direct marketing organisations/spammers.:emoticon-0105-wink:

According to the accounts our property is worth about £25m. Not much but it’s a small site and not very accessible except from South Africa Road.

I'm not sure it is a financial black hole. As Strolls posted recently, the debts have been converted into shares. This would change of course if we go for an expensive stadium. I dare say the Mittals wouldn't mind developing the new stadium with all the adds they would get, shopping centre etc (assuming Westway doesn't conflict commercially)

I have the feeling that whatever I write Sb comes along and dismisses it. Sb it's getting boring now. Go away and pretend not to be a remoaner. zzzzzzz

Sorry Goldie, I big new 30K stadium with other sporting facilities why wouldn't someone want to invest in that. Especially if you already have the contact with the club.

If the ground can be developed with commercial add ons, I would think the whole enterprise would return a good profit over time. London property prices including commercial are a bit flat at the moment, but over time... I'm thinking that it may be possible to get planning permission on stuff that wouldn't be possible without allying it to a sports ground with community benefits

PS I don't smoke anything for health reasons, but a nice man sold me something called monkey dust which sounds suitably environmental. One snort of that and I feel I can take on the world

Even if the ground is a loss leader, annexing a shopping centre may be good so long as Westfield doesn't take all the trade

Oh lighten up you great snowflake. If you continue to post along the lines that you do, largely ill informed wish fulfilment stuff or blanket criticism, I’ll continue to respond. Usually with some facts (which you will then ignore) or rarely as in this case with a stupefied exclamation. I will also like your posts which I like (it has happened!). I find it entertaining, and entertaining myself is why I play on this site. I frequently laugh out loud at your posts, keep it up! Put me on ignore if you can’t take it.

Why would I put you on ignore Sb? You posts help me sleep. As soon as I start reading i'm off. Much better than a sleeping pill.
    So sorry I don't always reply it's because I'm asleep:emoticon-0148-yes:
