I've mentioned this a lot, fans seem into the financial side of their clubs nowadays. Personally I don't pay much attention to it.
70's football fans must think it is highly gay of modern fans to be using the "Your club spent more money than our club" as banter, I bet.
I think it’s just the enormous sums of money that seems commonplace now. I mean 70 million quid is a ****ing King’s ransom by anybody’s standards.
Not by a top football clubs standards you mean right? It's still a ridiculous amount for all but the top 5%. Football does exist outside the top 6
Look at the way its going. Even Everton can afford to splash out £50m for a player and they have won **** all for the last 20 years, and dont even qualify for the Champions League. The TV money has really spun things on its head.
Who gives a **** about what Everton spend? They're in the top 5% I mentioned. Doesn't mean 70 million is standard for all football clubs Again, football does exist outside the top clubs
I don’t see the problem. Everyone still ****s about for weeks until the last minute whenever you set the deadline. Much better to not have it affecting actual football matches which used to be the important thing. It’s not ideal for the top clubs particularly to do this straight after a World Cup, but they’ll survive. Liverpool were able to do their business with weeks to spare.
