Thought Kepa has a release clause of about £30m, unless he signed a new contract.

Also to add, Kepa turned down Real in Jan, the whole Basque thing and staying at Bilbao. Would you turn down Real and then go to Chelsea?

Seems a class deal for his club.

70odd mil for a lad who must have talent at 23 is pretty good.

Real will pay a massive amount to offset the fee when they buy courtois
 
Kepa's contract was expiring (July 18) but in December 17 he turned down Madrid and signed an extension beyond the summer.

Madrid will be paying Chelsea between £35m-£45m for Courtios.

Chelsea are loaded. No worries.

Best thing is all the **** about alisson being world record keeper is out the window before he ever plays a competitive game.

Wow, big money. Certainly a keeper with potential, at 23 if he’s there for 10 years then you’d say was money well spent though.

Be a huge test for him, similar to when De Gea joined from united, may look to be targeted from crosses
