Agree Matt, premier league quality my arse, both Rodon and Keston Davies look better prospects imo Prefer Roberts to start too Getting a few games in his legs now will stand us in good stead in the future imo. With experience I see him becoming a solid player, as reliable as Ben was on the left. Thing about Naughton is that he can play both sides so is a bit of a rarity. Because of this if he did go then he'd be difficult to replace imo. Also him going would leave us completely threadbare again at full back, a very familure tune we all know so well. I think its tough on Grimes to be expect him to cover, out of position, at LB. Playing him as cover effectively relagates him to the bench offering him limited game time and this will stifle his development, not good for him or the team. Bt even with Naughton there seems to be no one else. Meanwhile, on the right, after Roberts, with no Rangel, there's no one at all. Maybe the plan is to dip into the U23's but that'd be a bit risky imo. If we're not looking to sign a full-back then maybe there is a sloution, as a thought maybe we could utlise the vast experience and know how of Dyer and Routledge. Both know exactly how Potter wants us to play and both can attack as wing back and use their old boxer nowse to defend, could work, just a thought, what you think chaps? Before I flew that up the flag to see if the cat would lick it though, if I were Potter, I'd try work some magic on Naughton and try to make him want to stay because, imo, if he does end up going, I think we'll miss him.
Funnily enough, I was wondering if Potter could find new roles for Routledge and Dyer. They're both clever players who can unlock defences and have a wealth of experience. Ashley Young has been transformed from winger to defender whereas Gareth Bale went in the opposite direction!
Cardiff and Leeds could disappear altogether from 606 if " a DISLIKE " button were to be offered. I think it's a great idea, and I wouldn't be in a minority on that one.
Not rumours I'm afraid "There's no further news on Jordan - he's just not been here," Swansea boss Graham Potter told BBC Sport Wales. "That tells you that he's not part of what we're trying to do, by his own actions. "It's whether we can get a good enough deal for the club. Otherwise, that's going to be an interesting time for him." "get out of my club you greedy bastard get out of my Club", that could have been sung to so many too many times .I just hope that twat is made to stay away , ****ers like him just stink the place out
I hope they are fining him everytime he doesn't turn up, at least we wont have to pay the ****er his wages then, Disappointed as I thought he would have continued to put a shift in (as he did last season) despite him wanting to move on, I was completely wrong there, shows these players up for exactly what they are.
I'm not surprised tbh, his attitude at Villa after they were relegated should have told a tale, the blokes a tool , does he really think that acting as he is going make PL teams fight over him .Best thing for us is that he trains on his own and deduct wages for not for filling his contract ,money is what toe rags like him value more ,then cancel his visa after Thursday
How does the cancelling of his visa work, is it because he is not fulfilling his obligation to work which I guess is a working visa, does that mean then he is in breach of his contract, how would that all work.
It's reprehensible how footballer's are allowed to blatantly disregard their contractual obligations to their employers. This a general observation, and not based on Ayew's alleged behaviour. In the real world you simply cannot get away with it, and football should be no different. This is what money does to people. Too much money brings irresponsibility. There should be a rule forbidding any footballer from not training, going awol, etc. Swingeing fines, and I mean SWINGEING, should be imposed, and they should be banned from signing for any other Club for the amount of time left on their contract. Player's and their agents should be brought to book for such shabby behaviour. The P.L. is more than partly to blame for this. All that lousy money being thrown around.
It looks like Jay Fultons on his way , opening a way for another midfielder to come in or not hmmmmmm
I made a thread before realising that you're already discussing this topic. WOL "Graham Potter has hit out at striker Jordan Ayew after revealing the striker has refused to train with the Swansea City first team amidst speculation over his future." If this is true (can you really trust WOL), then he should have his wages stopped and if a suitor isn't found (sold or loan) then left to rot away from the club. Cant stand billy big bollocks like him who think they're better than the club. I also put Clucas in that bracket. better players than them (Fer and Fernandez) show how a true professional should approach the game. Granted Jordan Ayew did play ok for us last season but he's not a world class player and the boy needs to have a reality check. He's been relegated numerous times with multiple clubs and will only be good for bottom of the table and promoted clubs. Hopefully now the club has learnt their lesson and only attain players that are young and hungry to succeed.
Great interview there by Leroy, he'll be a great Captain, players like him can provide that leadership and experience the young guns will need, as apposed to the Ayew Brothers journeymen atitude we need to ship out ASAP, Huw surely must have learned some leasons from all this, if not I'm sure the Jack Army will remind him!...............
Well I've got my Leeds tickets and hope the home fans show their disdain towards him. TBH its nice to have midweek evening games that me and my boy can now go to together. Was near impossible to get tickets sitting together when we were in the prem.
