It depends how best striker is measured. Do you measure them in goals or their ability to make themselves count in the big games? I know for certain I'd rather have a Cantona, Solskjaer, Costa, Drogba type than a Kane type who scores more but doesn't deliver when it really matters most.
I'm not saying Kane won't win anything but by god he's absolutely nowhere near Sergio Aguero right now, that lad delivers every time.
What's got to be appreciated though is those strikers you've mentioned have played in better sides than Spurs over the years. They've had a lot more opportunities in the big games than what Kane has with us and been surrounded by more big game players to aid their cause.
In the four years Kane's been in the first team, he's finished second, first, first and second with regards to the golden boot. That's in a side who's generally expected to finish 5th-6th each season but has punched above our weight for last three seasons with top three finishes and he's been a massive part in that.
