Firstly, I am not speaking on behalf of Elland or Bucks, I am not sure where they draw the line on the match day threads.

Roll the clock back towards the end of last season, yes I openly moaned or whinged about good subjects going off topic but I know I wasn’t the only one, a few others had put complaints in as far as I am aware, not specific complaints at anyone, just the amount of banter/fishing or call it what you like.

Search back through posts if you like as my whinge about it was done openly on a post such as this one. Bucks contacted me via PM and said that he was going to make an on topic sticky and he was also going to make the match day thread “on topic” any other thread was a free for all, personally I felt it was a good idea, but that’s my opinion which I’m entitled to.

I was not the one who suggested the match day thread should always be on topic, but I am not going to deny I liked the idea of banter and “fishing” being kept out. Personally last season when Bucks was having to lock the match day thread and spend a lot of time editing it after asking us all to respect his decision I found the amount ignoring him was disrespectful.

As Shaks was complaining the most I posed the question: Does anyone go into the Jukebox thread and post 20 consecutive posts of nonsense or videos of something totally irrelevant? I like Shaks, I am not trying to make an enemy or upset anyone, it was just the nearest example I could think of at the time.

Now in regards to yesterday’s match day thread posts, I was reading the posts about the Derby game and I honestly took zero notice about them being “off topic” I personally thought they were fine, I didn’t care that members were asking each other who was going and arranging to meet, as far as I am concerned it was all match day related and it never bothered me in the slightest.

My grievance is when you have 20+ consecutive posts between 1 or 2 members that is either banter, fishing, baiting or name calling or has happened in the past a flame war of he said she said.

Again I am not trying to make enemies, I wasn’t the one who decided the match day thread should remain on topic, I don’t know where Bucks stands on how much off topic he is willing to let slip under or the line between off topic and on, I am just speaking for myself.

Feel free to have your say or shoot me down on here

With all due respect you are talking complete bollix.
Yesterday’s thread was all about people making arrangements to meet up from what is being said.. How on topic do you lot want an on topic match day thread to be?
Perhaps you would prefer to limit to which streams work rather than helping those that actually go to games?

After bucks said last year matchday threads should stay on topic apart from when someone usually matt accidentally posted off topic and others accidentally responded taking it further off topic it did. A couple of days after a game the matchday thread has served its purpose and only then did any wider conversations start.

You don’t like the banter you have said so plenty of times. The new line of moderation may be coincidental with your appointment but let’s put it this way the timing is unfortunate. If we lose posters of jammy quality others will follow and the place will be worse for it.

If someone wants to delete my comments fine by me.
Its a footie forum, supposed to be enjoyable.
I'll still post where I want when I want, there is a great bunch of people on here.if that contrevens the rules then so be it,I really couldn't give a ****.
Sad to see jammy leave, seemed like a top bloke.

Which part is bollix, which part are you failing to understand?

I said people arranging to meet up personally didn't bother me, I made it clear I was speaking for myself as it was obvious a few felt it was me who had deleted all the posts, it wasn't.

In regards to your comment "new line of moderation and my appointment", again I didn't delete those threads, can I see why it looks aimed at me, yes totally but I'm not going to keep pleading my innocence every post.

I am directing my comment to whoever deleted them posts and in that context of moderator collective responsibility you are talking bollix.
As I said there are some that will see your previous anti banter statements, new appointment and this harder line of moderation as part of a single issue.
The three of you have a position of responsibility and it affects people. People make choices. The place will be worse without the likes of jammy and I will do all I can to encourage him to stay. You three can circle the wagons if you want but it appears last nights moderation was ott and not equally applied.

I look forward to bucks shooting the messenger again, after all it’s easier than reviewing what actually happened. N.B I was not involved in whatever happened last night so am a neutral on this...
p.s I can do condecending too. Which part of my two posts are YOU failing to understand...
If you didn’t want an honest response you might have been wise not to ask for one in your thread opening post.

I was complaining the most......<cheers> FFS I'LL say this once, I'm a messer, I hate authority, if someone tells me not to do, I'll usually do the opposite.

The most as in there were several posts (on the Stoke Match Day Thread) where you were "doing the opposite" and stating your dislike of the on topic rule, the most at that particular moment in time <ok>.

    Just a thought...
Perhaps you should listen to him at this particular moment in time. He happens to be right.

for the record I don't think it's asking too much to have an on topic match thread.Despite finding it hard not to respond off topic <yikes> don't have a problem with my off topic posts getting deleted. There is no 100% right or wrong, the rule is fair.

Not sure which thread I'm on but I left school many decades ago and I dislike being told what I can and carn't do.
This forum should be able to police itself without interference from those on high. If anything gets too heavy just walk away.
I did once, and after a period of time understood. I never now take anything to heart. As far as wading thro' page after page of none topic items so what that's part of the friendly banter.
If we are not carefull this forum will become boring boring boring people will start walking (some already have)
And once you hit the downward spiral it's very difficult to stop. LU is a prime example.
Am I having a go, yes. I enjoy my time on here and don't want it spoiled by the purists.
This is of course a very personal point of view.
What did I here you say, what a load of crap, exactly.

Who the **** do you think you all are you ****ing pretentious twats? This forum isn't all about you - you think you're the dogs bollocks posting your continuous **** on here.

FFS give your crap a rest and give the forum a break from your arrogant preachings. You set yourselves up as the voice of the many whereas you're just serial lurkers waiting to show off.

Ristac may have got some new tools but the only ones on here looking like ones are you. Now **** off your pedestals you creeps!

    To whom am I talking?...........<laugh>
