Yoshida has just come back from 3 weeks holiday so is not match fit. No bollox whatsoever.
Not match fit. Footballers are human beings not machines, they need 2 or 3 weeks complete rest every summer, otherwise they won’t ever be at peak fitness and will risk injuries. Yoshida has had no preseason training until this week, so will be behind everyone else, apart from Cedric. The only way to achieve full match fitness is by playing matches, and he has had no time at all since his last game for Japan. So he isn’t match fit.And before that he was training everyday and playing at a WC whilst the others had not even started their pre season. He will of had 2 weeks pre season back at saints before Burnley , unless he’s been racking up lines and drinking 8 packs on the daily on holiday, he’s more than fit enough to play.

Maybe not fit enough to start, but he’ll certainly be on the bench.I get your point and it’s a fair one, but he’s been active all summer bar his holiday, he was match fit for the World Cup games and would of trained most days there. Granted he would of lost a hint of fitness whilst lazing it up on th beach but with 2 weeks back training at saints IMO he’s fit enough to feature V Burnley.
